This is the same squad that probably started that rumor about Ozzie assaulting some random bystander. WHen have we ever heard of the Wings chewing each other out in public? I know they do it behind the scenes, but no doubt the Pens are just trying to play mind games. Hopefully the Wings realize that and don't start turning on each other. It's a blatant mind game. And yes, I've heard of Hossa hanging out with others, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure there have been several articles about Hudler, Flip and Hoss hanging out together in public.

Does anyone know when the last time a diving penalty was called? I can't remember hearing of one in years now it seems like.
-
I still have faith in Babcock. Whatever he does I trust in this case. SOme of you have bolstered my confidence though. If the Wings show up for Game 5, they still can win this. I doubt they'll give up a chance to close out the Pens in a Game 6. I wish they could win it at home, though, but I don't want a Game 7 unless we need it to win.
-
You know, I used to really like those "hold on to the puck as you skate around behind the net and set up a beautiful goal" plays when Zetterberg and Datsyuk would do it. But right now, I think I'll puke if I see another WIngs player carry it behind their net and skate all the way out to the blue line again.
-
I wish I could quit my damn job. I'll miss the WIngs winning the Cup if they can pull it off unless I can get someone to switch with me, which is highly unlikely.
-
Where are people thinking we'll be rested come next game? A day off between games and INCREASED travel is going to make for a brutal schedule. I make no excuses for being tired. This team simply sucked the last two games. THey need to get it together. Keep in mind I'm not one of the mindfly's around here.
-
Wow, that was brutal. Three unimpressive performances (despite a 3-1 win that was closer than the score indicates) We're in trouble.
-
I am gradually restoring my hope in this team. I've calmed down these last few minutes, I hope the Wings have, too. Come out firing on all cylinders. A goal in the first two minutes, please? Let's go Wings!
-
Another positive: Game 3: 2nd Period was the best period for the WIngs, didn't show up in the 3rd. Game 4: 2nd Period was a s***storm for the Wings....will show up huge in the 3rd?
-
Well, we can take these positives guys: 1) Helm is almost as godly as Zetterberg and Datsyuk. 2) Zetterberg is godly. 3) Stuart, Lidstrom, and Raffy have been amazing for us tonight. 4) Hossa has been trying, but the guy needs to pull the trigger more often. Quit skating behind the net, just put the puck on net and hope another WIng will decide to show up and play.

1) I'm tired of seeing Malkin on a breakaway. 2) I'm tired of seeing 3 on 2s in our zone. 3) I'm tired of seeing Wings players remain oblivious to poke checks. 4) I'm tired of the WIgns passing the puck into each other skates. 5) I'm tired of the Wings shooting from the outside. 6) I'm tired of the WIngs trying to pass pretty right through all five Pittsburgh players. 7) I'm tired of seeing Kronwall f*** up and not keep the puck from going all the way to open ice for a Pittsburgh player to carry. 8) I'm tired of seeing Homer be useless. This, coming from a fan who almost never calls out individual players (unless you are Kopecky). I'm so frustrated. I'm an eternal optimist but I have a bad feeling, watching the Pens perform the past few games, that if we lose tonight, we won't win again this series, let alone win the Cup... The WIngs need to play like they want it and stop trying to be pretty.
-
If he doesn't play tonight I don't see how he'll play the rest of the series. An injury serious enough to keep him out of a crucial game like tonight is serious enough to sideline him for the series.
-
Yeah, some teams hate the Wings in the West, but let's not forget that most true hockey fans in the West have utter disdain for almost any team in the East, and will back "their own" in the finals, so to speak. The West, for the most part, seems to be a frat of teams that respect each other more than teams in the East.
-
Let's all keep hoping! The Magic Man will return tonight!
-
Me, too, I was really confused for a brief moment.

Wings fans should tune out to protest Versus, officiating

Not watching Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals isn't going to make the league any m ore respectable. No true Wings fan could willingly NOT watch such a crucial game. -
I'm still holding out hope. Maybe they want to keep Pittsburgh guessing until the last possible minute. Seems like a sound strategy, as the Pens seem easily rattled. Everybody start sending overwhelming positive energy!
-
Win tonight! Wings need to win the next two games so I can actually watch them win the Cup! Go Wings!
-
There is no way even these refs would allow a 6 on 5 goal to stand.
-
I definitely have noticed all the early '20s scantily clad fans in Pittsburgh. Not a bad thing, but it's certainly not good if you actually want people to know something about hockey.
-
20 seconds of 6 on 5 is a lot different than warning someone they're offsides.
-
When and how does this go beyond simple conspiracy theories to actual investigations? Is it even possible to "expose" any form of cheating on the part of the NHL? Someone from the inside has to leak out information, I think. And unless it's a ref I don't think anyone is going to find out about it. I do think ito's gone beyond simple bitching by the victims and is now entering "suspicious" territory. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we'll ever find out. I'm not sure if anything could ever prove it. This is, after all, a league that can disallow legal goals and allow goals to be scored off of the netting. And the league that pays people (commentators, refs, etc. to make calls that blatantly defy any and all video evidence.)
-
You know, I almost hate to admit this, but I actually don't mind Malkin. He seems like a pretty decent guy. Other than a certain other Penguin superstar.
-
Yeah, and I have serious doubts a guy like Osgood would just attack some innocent bystander. The guy is not only one of the calmest players int he league, but one of the nicest.
-
The rumor is that the offer was made prior to the playoffs and is just waiting for the playoffs to end before negotiations continue.
