I think we've gotten a little too cocky here on the boards. Hopefully the team hasn't. A 2-0 lead is nothing in the playoffs. Sure, it helps, but in a way it's a bad place to be because series-changers often happen. Detroit has to be careful, because Columbus is going to be pumped, they're going to have a lot of their issues solved. Detroit, of course, can win, but the series isn't over yet.

Everyone talks about Nash being a Wings killer, but Datsyuk is a beast against Columbus as well, is he not? I can't remember the exact numbers but he averages like 2 points a game against them or something.

Gotta love Hasek. His attitude last year was great and gained him even more respect from me. Obviously he loves the game and he's doing a lot to grow it over in his home country. Good luck to him!

We haven't beaten Columbus yet, so I'm not even thinking about Round 2, other than: Don't pick your poison.

If we count how many times Columbus knocked the puck into their own net, the score for the series becomes 5 to -2. If I were Columbus I'd really be considering a different strategy.

His complaints are understandable. he has the skill and only agreed to he AHL to get used to the style of play, correct? Well, he's obviously used to it, any longer in the AHL and he is wasting his time and his talent.

Yes, yes. Chelios is still reliable in his own zone, and that's all we need him to be. With Big E providing the Big O, Cheli being the stay at home guy, we'd have a killer combo. The only downside is we dont' know how Chelios would perform with extended minutes. He's been pretty much forced to a minimal role the past few years and I'm not sure if that's becausae he can't handle the longer minutes (he seems to be able to in the few games he's required to play a lot) or because we just don't really have room for him.

God, that makes me think of a particular Michigan politician I had a meeting with once who did something really bizarre with a sausuage.

Wow, a massive conspiracy to make Ozzie feel good? No, it's just that we are either A) Excited that he's playing amazing and always had faith. or B) Had doubts but are happy to see we were wrong. Not a conspiracy. Just a good goalie who deserves a little praise after all he crap he takes from everyone.

I finally caught a view of the game. Saw the last minute. I'm assuming Ozzie was huge again. It's amazing to see his transformation. Can't get cocky, though. The BJs won't be blowing their games too easily anymore with these penalties and we're shifting to their house. Keep the pedal to the metal!

Ericcson is destined to be a 3rd or 4th Defenseman in the next two years, I think. After that, the sky is the limit. This guy is going to be huge for us in the post-Lidstrom era, I have a feeling.

It's not very often you get to play a team that proudly calls themselves the BJs, so we have to take advantage of referencing it every chance we get. On the one hand, it's a shame there weren't too many BJ's around at the arena in one sense.

When I first logged on here the victory mark wasn't up, so I thought we lost. But reading the past few pages, it looks like all is well! So glad to hear Ozzie is back to form. Couple of questions: What did Ozzie say during his interview? How did the defense hold up? Was the Joe 50% full of BJs?

Anyone know of an internet radio feed for this? I'm setting up a program to record the audio if I can find a link, but my local radio station apparently isn't allowed to air Wings games online, and I dno't have a portable radio to hook up to my computer.

The type of job worked is essential here. You may great points. For example, I used to love going to Wings games, but I live 2 hours away from Detroit. I would go a few times a season. This year, none. Why? Because 1) No extra money, 2) the only jobs available are 2nd and 3rd shift anymore, and most people can't afford to request time off, if they could even get a boss to approve it.

This really bothers me that there may be more BJs in the JLA than in the parking lot. But i hate when people say it's because of the game the Wings play. Wings games get tons of viewers on TV, and the natinoal ggames are among the best rated. We've been selling out seats for years with the Euro style of play, and only started dipping last season, when the economy tanked in Michigan even worse than before. And, surprise surprise, when the national economy followed they're selling less. It's economics, plain and simple.

Those 10 or so Red Wings fans who bothered to buy tickets (this irks me) better start cheering Osgood's name early on to get his mojo working. Everybody has to show a little confidence in him, it'll go a long way toward boosting his confidence.

Ozzie's got that determination in his voice it sounds like. Something he hasn't had all season. I have faith in him, he's going to be huge for us!

The scary part is that Datsyuk doesn't think he's as good as he could be. But a seriously engaging look into Datsyuk's life. There is no reason not to like this guy.
