They're getting back on track and I'm excited. They haven't played a full game this entire year, but they're getting there. Just imagine the sort of damage this Wings team is going to do in the playoffs when their hearts are really in it.

Feel bad for the player. Tried to stop the pass and hit the wrong part of his stick, sending it straight for his own goal. Valiant effort to stop it, though. Almost did.

You have no idea what his personal life situation was like, none of us do. We can't judge someone for making a personal choice. It's not like he was using an extensive prostitution ring or anything. He had an affair. Cheating is bad, yes, but don't pretend like you can know his situation to judge him.

You're screwed. However, I could see them only losing 1 or 2 games, which will only make your defeat that much more bitter.

The thing that is reliable as the awesomeness of the Red Wings is the lameness of their marketing bunch. It'll probably be something like "Take it to the Zone!" With Autozone sponsoring or something ridiculous like that. I noticed someone did a photoshop already. My favorite time of the year!

Very, very close but Datsyuk has the magic hands. He'll reach 100. Doesn't mean anything but it would be a cool career accomplishment for him.

Broduer now has more wins than any goalie in NHL history. Certainly he's one of the greatest, but let's not forget that CuJo is up there, too. Better stats than wins to go by. But hell of a career, Marty!

Not really. Remember, it's been a few years now since Shanny was on the team. A new generation of Wings fans is out there now. Time really flies faster than it seems.

Good news people. My work called and I don't have to go in tonight, so I get to watch the game. What kind of crazy awesome luck is that? Must be a sign of an impending collossal Wings victory.

This is just what happens to Cup champions in the New NHL. Name a team that has been consistently good after winning the cup in the last 5 years or so. An argument could be made that without Hossa the Wings could be in dire straights as well this year, though I doubt they'd suck as bad as most Cup Champions in their following seasons. Just the sad state of affairs.

For all the trouble the WIngs have had this year, I just checked the standings for the first time in a long time: The Wings could reasonably expect to finish as good and maybe even better than last year if they get hot in the final 12 or 13 games. Amazing.

Mac is and always will be one of the most popular Wings all-time. It sucks that he doesn't perform like he used to at the NHL level, but nobody can do that forever. I'm glad he's found an important role for himself with the Griffs. He can do the Wings a lot of good by helping those kids out.

Well, I think we've run out of excuses for this season. It's almost over. We just have to hope they can turn it on once the playoffs start, which I think they're banking on. I've never been a pessimist when it comes to this team, but if that switch doesn't work, we could be in trouble come playoffs.

Franzen is also unbelievably clutch, which makes him worth keeping over any flaws he may have, in my mind.
