No, but when every single shot is a breakaway or a 2 on 1 or a Red Wings defenders stacking in front of you or Wings literally bending over, watching the puck roll underneath their legs, you don't have much of a chance. What'll make this game better is when we storm back to win it 15-5. Mark my words. That is, if all the players come back from Intermission intact. Babcock might start ripping people apart.

Someone needs to grab this picture right before the goal was scored. One of the Wings players was bent over as the puck went underneath him. Heads up their asses for sure.

It's my fault, guys. After hearing how well Ozzie did, I hoped I could watch him tonight since I missed last nights game. But I didn't think my thoughts would be this potent! I would say Hudler, but he was really good last year, too. To really say most improved I would have to agree about Lilja. The guy is like a totally different player. I've seen him make very few critical mistakes this year and I actually feel comfortable about him being between the goalie and an onrushing forward or two. He's been great for us, hopefully he keeps it up.

I'm excited to hear that Ozzie is back. My God, if Ozzie plays well, Conklin plays well, and our offense continues to fire on all cylinders, who even needs the defense to wake up? ha!

We could have Brodeur and Lungo in net and there would still be a goalie controversy.

FOr as good as a Pronger-Chara matchup would be, they still can't stop the onslaught of Hossa, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Leino, Franzen and Hudler.

I'm not really familiar with where each player is at right now, but doesn't Robert, even on his last legs, have more offensive upside than Laperriere? And he's got a mean streak (but not too goony), whereas we all know what Lappy is.

Honestly, I don't see how the NHPLA would allow the cap to drop that much. That would absolutely destroy several key teams in the league and bring down the NHL as a result. It might drop, but I don't see it dropping enough to really affect too much, it's just bad business.

This has been a huge year for individual Red Wings players. Very cool.

A charity soccer tourny would be awesome. Defending champs versus a team with players chosen to represent each team for their soccer ability.

Miller is pretty cool. One of my favorite non-Wings, too. It's a shame, really. Off-topic: About that Pronger news, please God let him go to some crappy team like Atlanta.

I'd rather not rely on untested youth going into the playoffs with the problems on defense our team has had this season. Losing a low pick for some solid defensive work for a few months won't be a bad thing.

Exactly. If Zetterberg and Datsyuk (especially Datsyuk) can improve their strength and allow themselves to be "re-trained" to play a different sort of game, I have faith that the Wings coaches and trainers can do the same for Leino, if he buys into the Wings system. When can be sign up, and is anyone else afraid he might want to sign someplace that'll offer him crazy money?
