Interesting Flip vs. Hudler stat: Hossa and Datsyuk are considered as being on the same level, and are 5 points apart. Hudler is 5 points behind Hossa. I'd say Hudler is blossoming much faster and better than Flip is.

Not many possibilities, though I like the idea of signing an aggressive fourth liner. Kopecky could be traded to a team needing some younger players in exchange for a one-year Peca or Roberts.

But I'm not looking to create anything, just to find old videos, and yeah, no hits. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that video doesn't exist.

I noticed a while ago that it seemed the starting roster was simply Anaheim's team. Which amuses me because I hadn't heard anything this season about Anaheim's players being all that outstanding.

THe thing I love about this game, is that after you watch a long time and get to know how each player plays, you can predict what they're going to do. Also loved how Mick (or was it Ken?) called Koivu's backhander as he started skating, and then lo and behold, Koivu goes backhand. When they interviewed Ozzie, they asked him if they knew he would do it and how, Ozzie refused and said he used some secret goalie knowledge. Anyone think it was the shrug Koivu did at about the halfway mark that gave it away?

Everything I've heard is that Larsson is the guy to go with a few years from now, that he's leagues better than Howard or McCollum.

I was thinking about how awesome the Winter Classics have been so far, and I was originally in favor of doing it every year. But then I realized, eventually there will have to be an Atlanta v. Nashville Winter Classic, which will be followed by news stories like this "Record low viewership, is the WInter Classic Dead?" So what about making it the All_Star game? That would take away the intensity of the game, but it'd be a big draw for viewers. Or are you simply in favor of only doing the Winter Classic once in a while for special teams (I.e. pre-second expansion teams?)

Doesn't look too intentional to me. Looks like he was just trying to give a big hit and was aiming a little too high. Definately a suspension, but I really don't think Ovie was trying to be classless or anything.

It's got to be an original six matchup. All of them (except maybe Toronto) are improving each year and the intensity is coming back. I'd bet money that it'll be a Boston-NYR game or a Boston-Montreal game in Boston.

I'm calling it right now. They all will be resigned before the season is over, and we'll add the entire All-Start team to our roster. Bank on it.

I love them, and got one for Christmas from my fiance. I love the old-fashioned look. I generally hate third jerseys, and I'd like to keep this as a one-off, special memento of an amazing event and victory.

Agreed. Homer is a first-liner. He is irreplaceable on that top line and makes it so much more dynamic. Dats and Z are amazing, but Homer is just as much a part of that tandem in my mind.

Anyone else feel that the commentators for national games make reallya wkward and stupid small talk? I don't remember feeling feeling weird after listening to something Ken and Mick say, but pretty much everything they say tonight doesn't make any sense or is really awkward. -

The stupidest thing I've heard all game is one ofthe commentators trying to say that Datsyuk's goal was all wind. Wind apparently is strong enough to carry you through three defenseman while puckhandling and shooting it through the knees of a moving goalie. -
