The Wings very well could come b ack and win this game. But really, will we be happy with that? The fact is, they should not be playing this consistently bad. We may the same mistakes. It's clear they need to work on certain aspects of their game, and mixing up the lineup would do wonders.

Babs needs to send a message. Don't know if he will, but we need to bring up some GR players. Sure, we won't be as good on paper, but GR is playing better hockey than we are right now. Seriously, bench a few of our veterans to put the fear of God into the rest of them. Make some examples. Lebda, Sammy, Maltby, and Kopecky they all need to go for a game. Bring up Ericcson, Abdelkader, Helm, and Leino. Give them some experience and give this team a jump start.

Yes. We may be winning, but we have no defense to speak of (Lidstrom himself is only playing average). This is hurting us. My girlfriend took over the TV, are they still playing horrible?

It's not over yet. It doesn't look good, but it's not over. Hell, no one thought the McCain-Obama election would be a race, but it's shaping up to be. 3-1 is a nothign score. The Wings just have to get it together. Admittedly, they haven't "gotten it together" all season, but it's gotta start sometime, right?

Keep in mind, folks, that at some points last season the Wings would never have won the Cup. But they did, because they got their stuff together. In fact, they got it together Game 1 of the Playoffs. So I'm not worrying until Game 4 of Round 1 if they're down 3-0.

I kind of feel a Red Wings onslaught coming. They're going to come out of the gate gunning for San Jose. We've seen this scene before, call me an optimist but I think that terrible first is going to energize the guys.

Wouldn't it be nuts if the Wings win 7-0 while not improving their play? I would worship Conklin as my personal savior if this happens.

San Jose is kind of a good hockey market, so I would expect their announcers to know a thing or two about hockey, unliked Anaheim's.

Kopecky could score a hat trick and in my mind that would only add trade value to him. The guy is overall, useless.

My God....I don't awnt to see like I'm pushing the panic button, but for THIS particular game, this is ridiculous. Nobody can freaking pass, nobody can skate, no one knows what the hell is going on.

Seriously guys, what is wrong with them? There's got to be a reason. They don't even see the puck. They're passing behind each other, they're coasting to the puck instead of skating to it, the defense is off in another world. Holy s*** post!

Because the Wings shuoldn't be playing like the Vancouver Canucks. Conks has to feel like Luongo right now. Although it's way too early to write us off. It's illogical and improbably that our world class defense will play lik ea junior league forever.

Worst game of the last 2 seasons? Yes. Also, what the hell is wrong with Lidstrom? He went from maybe 3 career mistakes to 3 a game. Absoltuely brutal season for Lidstrom...

I'm not going to criticize Ozzie, he's played great and I don't fault him for many of those goals. But DAMN, Conklin is really making a case, isn't he? I feel more confident with the Ozzie-Conklin duo than the Hasek-Ozzie one.

I hate to ***** and scream bias, but last night was terrible. The refs were asleep at the wheel whenever it came to punishing a Duck. Not saying the WIngs didn't deserve their penalties, but the Ducks should have had at least 8 additional ones. This always seems to happen when we play the Ducks. Not so much any other team, just these goons.

I honestly can't tell it was a dive. But sure as hell it interfered with Ozzie's ability to make the save.

I think this year will reveal how stupid it was to put a hockey game in a baseball diamond. THey should stick to football stadiums, and even those are so big it can reduce visibility.

Not only is it hard to follow, the shots also look less interesting when they're coming at you. Those crazy goals look a lot less amazing when they're coming at you and you can't see the stick.

You know, I was concerned about Ozzie for a minute, but then I looked at the goals from a different perspective. If he had made some of those saves I would have been like "Wow! THat was an amazing save!", so in that perspective, I don't really think he's struggling. He hasn't been helped by defense that can't seem to play together and position right, and a lot of the goals have come off of crazy redirections or rebounds.
