Re-sign him, definitely. He's been an asset, and I think some of the thigns he was rusty on will improve nwo that he'll have time to condition. Let's face it, he was thrown in before he was fully prepared, due to signing deadlines. We need him next year.

I'm jacked up. i want to watch videos and go nuts but my girlfriend is trying to go to bed so I'm sort of like a kid, all excited with no place to go.

GDT 2008 SCF Game 6 GDT: Red Wings 3, Penguins 2

Because Pavel is his own hero, and he knew it. Datsyukian dekes are gifts from God! -
I don't remember Bettman being that...shaky every other ceremony. He looked on the verge of tears....but maybe I'm projecting my reasons onto him.

Babcock is the next big thing in coaching. The guy has seldom made a mistake, and he's all business. The team respects him and he wins. Long-term baby. I can't believe that he didn't even seem excited when being interviewed after they won. This guy is bad-ass.

Stuart's gotta stay. He's the most solid 3rd or 4th defenseman in the league. We need him long term, and he's not even in his prime. He'll develop with Kronwall into an amazing first pair!
-
Amazing! I hope he doesn't ask for TOO much now that he has the Conn Smythe...

I just found NHL Network's coverage, so I hope someone has video saved to share for those of us who missed us. This is miserable coverage. Casual fans would want to see the celebration, you would think. Missed opportunity.

Unbelievable. I can't wait for SI to publish their championship book. So many stories to be told!
-
No bitterness here. We beat the terrible reffings and a great offensive team. No amount of whining can take away the awesomeness of this moment.

Wait a couple days, they'll be 15 bucks at your local store. Anyone else notice that the NYR DVD is $99 when it used to be 39? I think the NHL just jacked up some prices to take advantage of the situation. I'm excited, but I'm waiting to see whats out in stores tomorrow before I drop a hundred bucks on gear and DVDs.

Knowing the refs, it would have counted. I still can't believe it! I wish I could see some post-game video and celebration stuff.

Yes! The immortal continues!

Amazing! I'm glad skill finally won over goonery!

It's a little weird to win it on the road. It was quiet...and the booing pissed me off. But right now, I'm enjoying this too much. Too bad all coverage everywhere cut off. I don't get CBC, and nothign else is showing anything. Kind of sucks the fun out it when I can't savor it. So I come here! Anythign happening behind the scenes? Quotes? Events?

They're determined, fired up, and prepared, I think. They've learned their lessons and are ready. Most of us have put in hundreds of hours of watching the Wings this season and we're ready to see the ride end tonight! -

Why the hell would you take Hudler out? He's been one of our best players. As for Chelios, I'm not sure. He's my favorite Wing, so I'm inclined to say yes, but I'm not sure how well he would have held up during that 3OT game, and if we have another one like that....but then again the odds are two long games won't happen in a row, so I say go with Chelios. Lilja had way too many stupid moves the other night, but that doesn't really surprise anyone, does it?

I don't know if I could hold it together as well as he had. I admire him. He wasn't always a team player, I don't think but he's evolved, much like the rest of the team. I'm glad he's on our team, win or lose.

Wow, I hope things go great for you. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

It won't be as fun watching them win it in a silent arena, but it'll still be fun.

I think there may be a game 7. Pittsburgh is hard to put away, and they have all the momentum right now. Plus, I'd rather not win in Pittsburgh. So far this series has gone exactly how the NHL wanted it to go, so I expect that trend to continue with a Game 7. It sucks, but it's a feeling I have.
