Datsyuk has scored over 50% of our goals this series. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

Could be huge if we score on this power play. But I've said that before. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

The problem is, our hardest working players who make stuff happen have zero finish. What about putting Miller with Datsyuk and Zetterberg? Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

Haha, their break feature about grinder is not about the Wings line, but the Bruins. Despite good shifts by the Wings. Anyone else notice that when Nyquist shoots he shoots really, really soft this series? Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

Babcock abandoned the Abdelkader experiment last year. I wonder why he's sticking to it now? Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

I just hope Babcock doesn't wait til there's five minutes left to make changes. There's got to be some line combo that can carry (not pass) the puck into the zone and the crease. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

I wish they'd crash the net. Every time they do something happens. Cycling around the perimeter just doesn't work. It's a gamble because you know Boston will get their sticks in the way after a pass or two. Also, NBC sucks. They sound more homerish than Boston's local guys. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

We managed to keep it 1-0. That's a victory of sorts. And we looked decent at the end there. Boston is getting their sticks in the way and are getting a ton of lucky bounces. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

It doesn't really ever work. I hate it. And I thought Babcock did, too. I hate that 1-0 feels like 5-0. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -
Yeah, if he were being punished or sick, he'd be backing up Gustavsson. I don't think they're playing mind games this time. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

I don't see us using the buyout on him. His cap hit isn't bad and I'm sure some team would like to take him. He'd be traded. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

I don't know if I can watch today. The way they've played, combines with this being an afternoon NBC elimination game points to an embarrassing massacre. On the other hand, I still hope they can extend the series and out up a fight finally. Monster, for whatever reason, gives them the best chance to win. They usually score more with him in net. I like Howard but I'd trade him to get Miller any day of the week. At the very worst it's a lateral move and most likely an improvement. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

I reconsidered and want him back. Not because of last night, but because I forgot he has a different style of play than Howard. Mixing it up is key to having a varied breakout. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

He made mistakes but no more than anyone else. I'm cool with keeping Bert in the lineup but for the love of God put him with Datsyuk. Homer was effective I'm the fourth line, either. Bertuzzi is a specialty player and he's really only good on the top line as a net presence. He provides an element we lack and it showed on that first goal. Plus, I like his no-panic puck control. I think we were just too ambitious trying to win with 9 rookies. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2

We blew the 3-1 lead. Of course the Wings could win another game. But Game 5 is an afternoon NBC game. For whatever reason we always play like trash in those. Four games is a pretty good sample size. We have yet to be better than Boston for more than a period, and we can't get to their net. Even though they were better teams, the Anaheim and Chicago series were more evenly matched and we were competitive. Boston is the best team the Wings have faced in the playoffs in my viewing life time. Even the sweep losses were more competitive. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

I think Babcock is guilty of coaching for the individual. He's so busy managing egos and delicate psyches they he sometimes makes bizarre decisions. Like Glendening taking crucial face-offs, or his coddling of other players. Which is fine sometimes. But in a crucial playoff game, screw building confidence and go with what will win. Unfortunately I think this series was a case of the Wings being too small. I always resisted that cliche but this time we couldn't even get to the net unless Boston decided to play sloppy. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

This summer I'd like for Holland to feel the heat to make changes. I like Nyquist but we'd be better off not to expect him to be our leading score next year. And Franzen? I'm on the "dump him" train. I always defended him and his value, but Babcock doesn't realize you can't lean on him or rely on him. He's just a strangely talented third liner. If that makes sense. I love the optimism. But the Wings haven't competed with Boston the last three games for more than one single period. And somehow they will win three straight? We don't have anymore tricks up our sleeve. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

Well we got to see a relatively healthy Wings team this series. And they weren't nearly as good as we thought they'd be. Big changes this off season. Series is over. I've never seen the Wings so roundly outplayed in a series. Even the sweeps were more competitive. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -

I had to stop watching the game because I went home without cable, and am now following your updates in here. It doesn't sound pretty. But all it takes is one lucky fluke. So many of our players are overdue for a goal. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 -
God, if we make it out of the Boston series I can't wait to play Pittsburgh.

Bertuzzi replacing Jurco will help reduce rookie panic which was a problem last game. Plus, Bertuzzi can hang on to the puck. Yes, we need speed but we also need someone who can control a play and not move too fast for It. I think his stickhandling and strength could help the the third line. I hope. -

Honestly, if Z can help them win tonight, I wouldn't even mind them sitting him next game. Obviously we need him, but I'd be okay with him staving off disaster for a game and then coming back for Game 6 or 7, too. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2
