I'm just worried that if Chicago wins Game 5 they get their legs back and come back. I want them to stay shaken. Not getting ahead of myself, and staying purely hypothetical, I think it would be cool to meet San Jose next round and Pittsburgh in the final. I still feel like this team shouldn't be able to win the Cup, but I'm also beginning to feel like this team is destined for that showdown. They've been too consistent thus far, and they improve every game. The Wings are not just hot, they've become a genuinely dangerous team.

I feel like the Hawks can't just get eliminated in 5. I want then to, but somehow it just seems unlikely. Then again, so did a 3-1 series lead for the Wings. The Wings are clearly in their heads, and as long as they don't get any lucky breaks to erase that we should be okay. If all things are even on the ice, I think Babcock will outcoach Q. His bench performance in Game 7 against Anaheim shows that Babcock is bringing his best game at the same time his team is.

I don't think I've seen any captain melt down quite as bad. Sure, Getzlaf kicked a stick, but Toews looks suicidal. The eternal pessimist in me is terrified of an epic series comeback. Way too superstitious to be cocky. But damn, these Wings look good.

What Alfredsson could have said was something like 'Yeah, it looks bad, but we've got good players and a good ethic and we go out to win every night. Likely or not we are going out there and not just give up.' Still admits the uphill battle, but shows a bit of fight that could inspire his team.

USA Hockey has to do a better job promoting the sport. There needs to be a focus on floor hockey to bring it to areas where skating and expensive equipment isn't affordable.

I don't buy the foreigner aspect. Never did. All major sports are international in makeup now, and all have 'funny names' and it doesn't hurt them.

I never listen to that channel, but it seems the state radio programs never cover the Wings, and when they do discussion does die off. I think part of it is that the hosts aren't knowledgable about the NHL. Why would I call in if my point will go over their heads? With the Lions being interesting again and the Tigers doing well, hockey has fallen off the radar. There used to be Wings updates on store signs around the state, now I never see any reference to them. Sad, but even in northern states hockey is secondary or tertiary to football and baseball. The thing I don't get is why the NBA gets more coverage when I think they post similar ratings and attendance to hockey. I guess because the radio stations are based out of urban centers.

Lord, that picture of Filppula, haha. Anyway, Babs is a great coach. His lineups infuriated me but he knew something I didn't. This is working and it's because of those head-scratching decisions. I was wrong. He had the big picture in mind and it worked.

If we survive the Hawks and he can come back, we will be looking pretty for the Cup. Of course, survivng this series is a big 'if'.

Yeah, these guys are jokes. It's like they've never experienced an NHL playoff series before. 2-1 means (unfortunately) very little. Teams come back from that deficit all the time. The Wings need to stay sharp.

He's always been a good player. People just irrationally translated his injury history as meaning he is a bad player. I hope he stays around. Obviously with his history we can't rely on him, but it's good to have him for insurance.

I know, right? I'm very nervous about this crazy run losing steam, but they keep gut checking.and persevering. Game 4 is huge. Chicago is going to come out flying. Wings need to keep mistakes to a minimum and never give up. I would be very nervous letting Chicago tie the series. I don't want them to regain their confidence.

There's a lot of reasons to dislike Crosby, but unfortunately this past season he's really solidified his reputation as the best offensive player in the game. I can't think of a single aspect of his game that I respect except his goal scoring ability, but on that front, the guy is almost unstoppable.

Datsyuk does need to turn it on a bit more, but I am sure he will.

Sounds like the Wings have thrown them off their game. Let's hope their new strategy of running the Wings backfires. Also, Wings had the advantage in matchups in Chicago. One can only assume that advantage will be stronger in Detroit. Is a 3-1 lead heading into game 5 too greedy yet? I don't expect Chicago to roll over, but let's hope the Wings teach them a lesson we had to learn a few times on our rise to greatness: never underestimate the underdog.

I thought the 3-1 was a game prediction, not the record for afternoon games.

I don't think our record in afternoon weekend games is good. Still, I hope the Wings bring their full bag of tricks. We are better than Minnesota, so let's at least see the Wings put up a better right than they did. Go Wings!
