The Pain Train Cometh!

Guys Lilja doesn't decide who gets to be in the shootouts. He organizes the shootouts in practice. It's his job to organize them and make sure the players practice them. LOL

Ericsson and Lebda, the nightmare of pairings. Those two play absolutely wretched together. Please play simple, use your body and don't handle the puck like it's a grenade. I know Maltby and Draper were calling Helm and Abby dumb and dumber earlier this year, but that title belongs to Ericsson and Lebda. It really does. Yeesh! It's beyond frustrating that Bertuzzi is the most dangerous guy on his line. Really? 13 million between Datsyuk and Zetterberg so they can backcheck? Get it together please.

Ecklund says: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklund/Kova...e-for-1/1/25696 Jack Johnson to Red Wings (e4) Two sources, very close to the scene are saying a deal may get worked out that would send Jack Johnson to Detroit. I am told that "discussions are imminent." Maybe buzz the dog put his nose on the winged wheel.

That was just stupid. Someone else should have jumped in there. Gaborik has been their entire offense this year. Can you imagine if he got a concussion or broke his hand fighting? Props for Gaborik for trying to stand up there, but the coach must have been holding his breath.

Datsyuk is the best.

The part that really concerns me is the whole "I did this" or "I did that". Gee Chris, I thought this was a team sport of which you play a role? The Detroit Red Wings along with the coaching staff did those things not "you" alone. That's part of the problem, along with not being able to admit to yourself when your not playing well. I understand he thinks it's because he's not getting the playing time, but early in the year it was the same thing, despite getting most of the starts.

Enforcing is such a vital and important art. So much so in fact, that it's disappearing from our sport. I for one was pissed at May. I thought that type of situation was exactly why he was on the roster. He missed a chance to enforce, maybe he won't fail next time.

Bertuzzi can't be trusted on the ice in the 3rd period apparently. Shame we should have had this one. That's the best I've ever seen Theodore play against us that I can remember. He's usually good for 3 or 4, hence his nickname Jose Threeorfour

Go clean your room. Your mom will appreciate it and it will give you a time out as well.

Screw you sissy! Go hide and pout.

Beach ball time!

Ott is a knuckle dragging buffoon. I wish our knuckle dragger would have knocked the stupid look off his face.

Nonsense as per usual. The first goal he should have saved. I don't like goals through the 5 hole. The rest of the night he was very good stopping odd man rushes and Hossa several times late just to get the game to a shootout. He wasn't great in the shootout, but he's usually pretty good in that regard. Babcock absolutely made the right choice going with Howard back to back. Even tired, Jimmy is a much better option than the alternative.

Disgusting! It's a shame that hockey has so many of these neanderthals hidden amongst the athletes. Good riddance. Where's the sportsmanship here? Pathetic.

Hank has to score there. Too good a chance not to. We had the right guy in the right area with the right pass, sadly no goal.

f*** these incompetent refs! Anyone else want to see Babcock throw a chair out on the ice? f*** it throw the whole bench out there. Bush league s*** again today. Even the color guys that hate the Wings think we got jobbed yesterday.

Instead of Overeacting educate yourself on the Facts of Ott's Goal

Who gives a s*** who's fault it is, they blew the call. They never get it right, the NHL= FAIL!. -
Jimmy got jobbed tonight by the refs. It seems like every time something happens it's always in favor of the other team. I'm thinking of constructing a tinfoil hat.

Had to DVR the game. Just got done watching it and had a few thoughts. The Wings had a real nice start which is a nice change, but then proceeded to be awful for the next two periods. They played way too passive in their own zone and let the Stars own the boards the whole night. It seems like as soon as we start getting some people back, that our terrible play in our own zone returns. Way too many cute plays in our end, not hard enough on the puck or wall. I also noticed some real lazy ass plays mixed in with the other nonsense. With the way the game started I thought we'd blow them out. With the way it finished I was surprised to get any points at all. The officiating was terrible all night. Several obvious missed high sticks, boardings and roughing calls let go. Then they completely blow the call there at the end. When dealing with waiting for the officials it's important to remember one thing. Whatever really happened is irrelevant and most likely the opposite will be called.

He plays a lot of rebounds on purpose. Usually kicks them out beyond the crease out of danger but it's the high ones that seem to give him trouble. The one tonight he should have just caught, but instead he played it with his shoulder or upper chest area for some reason. Even then, he could have covered it but he hesitated for a second and kind of froze. He looks weird in net sometimes, he reminds me a lot of Tim Thomas. Just battles. It seems like there's so may games where he just allows 1 goal. Can't ask for much more than that out of your goalie. Read that he might get both starts in Dallas and Chicago. I hope he's taking his vitamins.

Nice to see some plays in the offensive zone that show a little creativity. It looked very Red Wing like out there at times. Almost forgot what it looked like to be dangerous and buzzing. Keep it up fellas.

That and how about the eyebrow raiser of a back pass to no one behind the net from Lebda. I also enjoy Rafalski's boneheaded passes that are turnovers or hail marry icing's.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...+-+MLive.com%29 Anyone else wish we could keep Janik up instead of Lebda or Meech? I think he outplayed those guys while he was up. Plus he kills penalty's and is bigger and harder to play against along the boards.
