A lot less soft goals 5 on 5 and someone capable of making saves while shorthanded has helped tremendously.

How many shots can we blow miles wide of the net every game? It's so maddening. Every player on this team needs to be doing shooting drills for hours on practice days.

Beach ball is the same as he has been every year in this league. Only this year goal tending is under a microscope because we can't score. With the salary cap finally having caught up with us, we will no longer be able to get by with 3rd rate tenders between the pipes and still get wins. We'll need to draft or invest in a real solution at the position, just like we have on our centers and on defense.

I've always wanted to see a large goalie in detroit. Valiquette is struggling obviously. Even if you were to believe the rumor that we'd grab him. I'm not sure what the thinking would be? 3 goalies? trade one? Some injury we don't know about?

I think leino can think the game to play well with Pavel, but I'm not sure he can keep up with him. Not that bertuzzi could either. It just sucks that Pavel always seems to have the worlds slowest skaters on his line. Now he has 2 of them.

I like to rip on our terrible starting goltender. You like to defend him, so were gonna have this fun all year long. I watch 5-7 non Wings games per week. Let me know if you get sick of the beach ball pic because I've got a lot of other ones.

It would be interesting to see how many goals have been waived off or called back against the wings in like the last 2 years including playoffs. Then compare that to the rest of the teams in the league. I think we'd win by a landslide.
