This is easily the best hockey in years. The game is fast again, great skating and passing and hiting with awesome scoring opportunities. The better teams are advancing. The teams that try to cheat are in the box where they belong. In other words it makes sense. If the game continues on this path and they get a handle on goalie equipment the fan numbers will start to come back again.

sweet a save.

Osgood looking really shaky tonight, hopefully he can hold it together.

No thanks we don't need yet another 3rd pairing guy let alone a 47 yr old one. -
OMG come on
-
Really soft one there
-
Hopefully we can see howard in the 3rd.
-
It's completely pointless to sign chelios again when we have like 4 or more defensemen that can play on the bottom pair.
-
I agree it was a horrendous call, but you could actually see Lilja trying to knock down that shot in the replay and thus deflecting it by Dom. He needs to play the man in front not play goalie.
-
Lilja what a moron, this guy's f*cking blunders kill me.
-
They always have the same problems as the canucks and wild, they can't score enough goals to win a seven game series recently.

Rafalski out with a groin injury; Quincey called up
Pucks replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
Quincey's the right guy to call up right now. The wings could use a D-man that actually...well...plays defense. -
Quincey - but it's possible that both may be on the team long term. IMO Lebda will never be a top 4 guy because he just dosent have the size. He'll be a 5 or 6 guy where as Quincey looks to be a top 4 if he keeps developing. The guy is only 21 while Lebda is 25.

Ok now your just being silly here. They replaced Nylander with Gomez, whether they have great chemistry or not will remain to be seen. Gomez and Drury > Nylander.....no brainer. Their Defence isn't stellar, but serviceable. As long as Lundqvist stays healthy they will easily make the playoffs

The one thing that i think gets overlooked in the Rafalski signing is this. When schneider came here Lidstrom started shooting less and less and didn't seem to score as many PP goals. Since Rafalski is not known for his point shot i think Lidstrom will once again start shooting more and that's good news for us. His shot is hard, accurate and has eyes. Not to mention the guy is able to walk the blue line so its not blocked and keeps the goalie moving. I have a good feeling about our PP this year, I'm thinking top 10 again.

This is good news no matter what u think of him. He'll get his minutes and either fit in or be traded towards something we need. Personally i think the kid will score 20 goals as easy as getting out of bed in the morning. The playoffs..well that will all depend on how they interpret the rules next season.

Yeah and in that perfect hockey dream we'd get a north american power forward back for him
-
No Thanks to Whitney.
-
Ha ha yeah it is that time of year. What about Fedotenko hes a big body? Not sure if he has the hands to turn in to power forward but he did have that great playoff run for tampa a few years ago.

Would have been nice to add some more toughness to the lineup like Smyth and Stuart. I like Rafalski but he's more of what we have already. Maybe Kenny knows that lidstrom is retiring after the season and Rafalski is going to bridge the gap while Kindle develops?

If we're talking skilled guys i'd rather have Kozlov.
-
Kozlov, neither are what we need, but kozzy can still play a high skill game and go into the traffic areas to score.
