Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

Ya I know but when it happens year after year it gets to the point where it is semi predictable. I mean I pray to god I am wrong, I will literally eat a crow if I am. No joke, fiune me one and I will scarf it down with a smile on my face. I just don't see it happening.

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

No we wont be getting him, we will be lucky if we end up with Federov. Wouldn't be surprised if we end up with mccarty and a cory cross type depth d man. And we will ultimately lose within the first 3 rds of the playoffs, failing to make it past the western conference finals despite our AWESOME regular season record yet again. But everyone who just LOVES Flip will be able to sleep tight, jesus. When is the whole Kenny Holland mystique wear off, I mean out last Stanley Cup finals was a while ago, hell, we couldn't even make it to the WCF to last year, which, well, we all know how that ended. whatever, agree or disagree, it doesn't really matter. just another F*CKING BALLS TO THE WALL regular season. at least Hit keeps the fans coming.... wait, no it doesn't do that either. shucks, I'm out.

    OFFICIAL: Sundin Staying Put

Guys, we must remember who we are dealing with, a Mr. Ken Holland. We will be lucky if we get Federov, I mean Darren Mac is suiting up, but i mean, in all reality, we are setting up for a disappointing post season. I dont just say things like that either, actually I do believe this is the first negative connotation I have made regarding their future success. Not to mention this is the first time I really am beginning to expect the worst.

Pronger leaves game with jaw contusion

I really am not an evil person, in fact there are about 6 people I have ever truly wished harm on. Weird that 2 of them were NHL'ers. 1) Claudia "the turtle", and 2) the gap toothed retard, Chris Pronger. If he had gotten 2 handed across the middle of his face causing maximum damage I would rejoice, if the ambulance crashed on the way to the hospital with him in it I would splurge on playoff tickets for all the regulars on the board, and boys if the helicopter crashed that was moving him between hospitals, I would cash in my mutual funds and fly as many of us as I could afford to FIJI in an absolute celebration to the gods. That being sad, I really dont wish as much as a paper cut on anyone else period, NHL'er or not.

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

I know it has already been posted, but I ljust can't get enough of looking at the beutiful words that make up the statement. I PRAY IT HAPPENS "Marian Hossa: Watters believes Hossa could end up in Detroit, citing the friendship between Thrashers GM Don Waddell and Red Wings GM Ken Holland, Hossa's agent "does a lot of business with Detroit", and Hossa's desire to play for a Cup contender."

Why Can't Someone Do This to Phaneuf or Pronger?

F*ck it, screw cheap shots. I would applaud the crucification of Pronger. Phaneuf not so much, but to see the gap toothed retard being hammered away on, man, it would be P-R-I-C-E-L-E-S-S. I mean I am totally against cheap shots in the game, there is no place for them. But the saying "their is an exception to every rule" rings very true in the game. And Pronger's punk a*s is that exception, just as Ulf was when he got what he had coming. For all you bleeding hearts "offended" by the notion a player deserved what he got, ask Cam Neely about ole "Ulffie" and see what the hall of famer has to say., kthnxbye

    Eklunds new rumor about Lids

I am so sick and tired of the same generic "OH my god Eklund is such a moron but ............." in which the person who is voicing how evil, or retarded they think Eklund is proceeds to post his link, or information from his site. If you don't like him don't go around spreading his information or link. It is so repetitive I finally had to say anything. Here is the template for any Eklund mention here: *Start* --->"How much writer hates Eklund, and the self imposed question of why he is posting it" ---> "Eklund link, quote, or report." ---> "Reiteration of their hatred of Eklund" *End*

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

"Robert Lang?" 2005-06 DET 72 games 20 goals 42 assists 62 points +17 2006-07 DET 81 games 19 goals 33 assists 52 points +12 Tomas Fleischman 2005-06 WAS 14 0 2 2 -7 2006-07 WAS 29 4 4 8 -6 2007-08 WAS 56 8 16 24 -8 Yes I would go out on a limb and say this trade worked out half decent for us. Look at whats going on right now, some wanting Flip for the future some wanting to trade him. This organization has loads of talent waiting to emerge, you cant sit on it all hoping for the best tomorrow, you have to play to win today as well. So please no more Fleischmann comparisons, he is marginal at BEST Moving on, as for the Hossa fallout this could be bad for us. Especially when you add on the fact Khan says Sundin looks like a no no as well. One of the two will end up in San Jose or Edm. Which is not good for us for obvious reasons. I wish Holland would pull the trigger here and make a bold move. I know he is fully in control and knows better then me what the right moves are, I just really think that a Hossa or Sundin addition might put us over the top.

    Lightning shopping Brad Richards

Forget everyone else we need Hossa, well not need, but would benefit most from Hossa. Especially with the additions that San Jose and Anaheim is looking to make. God this would be easier if we were in the Eastern Conference ya know.

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

You're joking right? Do you know what the Fleischmann's trade helped accomplish here in Detroit? If you truly believe that Flip for Hossa is not a once in a lifetime opportunity then you are absolutely out to lunch when it comes to the NHL and the Wings. The tools Hossa would gain in coming to Detroit would make him a premier player in the NHL, hands down, no argument. BTW Fleischmann blows fyi

    The 2008 Trade Deadline Thread

I want this GUY BAD! *Not my video, however I apologize in advance for the music. I hope this is not what euros listen to in order to pump em up for any type of competition. But if it is, so be it, let the glow sticks reign free as long as he is in a Wings jersey come playoff time*

    Fair Justice

I have to say that it was beyone nice to see Lappy get what he had coming from Downey. It has been way to long since the Red Wings had a guy who could do what Downey did, to the extent that he did it (embarassing a turtling lappy). It is also nice to see a lot of fans here come around to realize just how important guys like Downey are, I remember during the summer having some INTENSE (to put it nicely) battles with some forum members about the necessities of an enforcer, and I am happy that we are finally all on the same page. That is that we dont need a good per say, but a legit tough guy that can go with the likes of a Parros, Fedoruk, or cheap shotting punk like Lappy ( I know the hit was clean I just am a homer like that).

  15. Here is a link to a pretty good (and new) 2007-08 Red Wings highlight video. It has an opening that is cool to. If you want to check it out, you can find it here: Red Wings 2007-08 Video Enjoy
  16. From a poster on Hockeyfights.com "You guys will love this. Here's a convo that Blues beat-writer Jeremy Rutherford had with Aaron Downey (who used to play for the Blues):" Quote: I spoke with former Blue, Aaron Downey, for a few minutes. He’s played in 16 of the last 18 games and said this is the best stretch of his career. Downey is a real character. Seriously good guy. The Blues players still talk about him, especially Matt Walker. Listen to the conversation I had with Downey this morning: Downey: “Kinger playing?†Me: “Yeah.†Downey: “Walks playing? Me: “Yeah.†Downey: “Should be a good game, eh?â€Â

Really Cool New 2007-08 Red Wings Video

Ya I was actually thinking the same thing about using 'enter sandman'. It will be changed. I also think I am going to cut a bit of the fighting and add more hitting. Its hard though b/c there have not been really any "Markov against Edmonton" hits yet. And I am trying to keep it as new as possible, but I will figure it out. Thanks for the input!

Really Cool New 2007-08 Red Wings Video

I would love to hear suggestions. What did you think of the music, choice of clips, order of the clips, etc etc. Positive, negative, whatever you think I would love to hear back. It will essentially make the final version better. Dont worry about hurting my feelings, I have thick skin. If you hate something about it, or just think an improvement needs to be made here or there let me know. Thanks alot, especially for the kind words so far regarding the piece.

No problem, it is my very close friends site. He does the whole politics thing for a living, but he is also one of the biggest Red Wings fans I know. So over break he was bored and made that and decided to toss it up there. Ill definitely let him know that you liked it.

TO Heaton: YOU ARE A MORON, and absolute and total dolt. TO Norris: You are a bigger moron, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HUDLER. Those guys do not do anything for the same reason you would'nt do anything to say, a 2 year old who came up and kicked you in the shin. But thank you for the post, your complete incompetence is humorous

    Official Downey On Waivers

I am back, haha i got in trouble for a naughty avatar I guess, good to seen were all grown ups here. It is a shame what they are doing to Downey, they mine as well of cut him. Moving on, its good to see the ****** bags are still doing what they do best, spewing out garbage illustrating their total ignorance of the NHL (besides Dats, Zetterberg, Lids, etc). Carolina- Mike Commodore, Tim Gleason, Scott Walker Nashville- (are you retarded? why would you drop Nashville's name?) Greg de Vries, Darcy Hordichuk, Jordin Tooto, Shea Webber. Edmonton- Jean-Francois Jacques, Matt Greene, Sheldon Souray, Steve Saios Vancouver- Kevin Bieska, Jeff Cowan, Alex Burrows, Brad Isbister So all the above may not be enforcers but all the teams have more then a Dallas Drake on the roster willing to drop. Also, please stop naming 1-2 teams without a clear cut enforcer, even though every team in the league has more willing guys then the wings there are about 27 teams WITH a clear cut enforcer, can we talk about them? Anyways I am going to the game tonight and am bringing a sign, it is going to read "I told ya so" and you can look for me on tv holding it up when one of our guys gets blown the f*ck up. kthanks. PS-feel free to flame me, I wont be reading it, nor will i be giving you tools who refer to enforcers as "useless" the time of day anymore. You are clearly dull when it comes to the specifics of hockey and it is a waste of time arguing with you snootchie boochies
  23. this is from Bruce Mcleods red wings blog My Webpage. HAHAHA Kenny and Co. waited to long, Sopel outplayed Meech, got a contract offer, was upped Fri. morning then he bounced on us. WOW, I did not see that coming at all. Meech must feel sweet now, this really has me in a little bit of awe.

WOW, Wings offered Sopel contract thurs, and upped it Friday

LOL well obviously Kenny Holland though differently, hence the Wings offering him a contract, then upping the offer Friday afternoon. In other words, you are wrong, at least in the eyes of the people who, well, run the team. But, on the brightside, he isn't playing here so it's not the worst mindset to have in the world. Ha ha about the avatar, I doubt anyone here is under the age of oh, 17, and have all seen worse. Don't worry about it cutie, no need for parents here.

    Bucci's preseason predictions

I am going to be honest here, no homer glasses, unless you aare a huge Wings fan, which I believe all of us here are. They are painfully boring to watch, it is a known and talked about fact. Just go to any other hockey message board outside a detroit red wings and you will see for yourself.
