What to do with Osgood next Year?

We need Ozzie to help Jimmy out as a mentor. He will still be relatively new next year so it's good to have a veteran goalie around.

    We MUST win against Edmonton

Usually this team tends to write off the weaker teams and loses all effort. But if we start Ozzie, then what if the team starts to think "Oh s*** Ozzie's in so we need to step it up!"

Report: Hawks' Campbell Out For Season

I would never wish injury on another player, but it still makes me smile that a team has to rearrange their defense around an injured player, and it's not the Wings this time.

3/15 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Flames 1

Who else is at NHL.com refreshing over and over waiting for them to update the standings?

    GDT: March 14th

Don't get too excited. As we all know, just because one team is up 3-0 doesn't mean anything.

Wings Fatigued from the Last Few Playoff Runs?

This is an excuse. They had most of June, all of July, and most of August to rest. Two months is plenty. Also, what about the Pens? They had playoff runs just as long as ours, and they are doing fine this year. This whole excuse just makes it sound like a high school hockey team that is barely conditioned. These are professional athletes.

    Red Wings Playoffs 2010

Unfortunately, we have to do more than just "keep" the 8th spot. We need Calgary to lose one more game than us. They have a game in hand so we depend on them too.

3/13 GDT: Sabres 2 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

I know. I mean we all know what we do on our gameday routine has absolutely no effect on how the players skate or score. But whenever I want to post something here really bad, I just hear that voice in my head telling me not to do it. I think it makes us feel important as fans like we had something to do with our team's victory. There isn't really much we can do as fans, but nobody likes to feel helpless.

3/13 GDT: Sabres 2 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

So I've come to notice that on the days where I post something on this forum on gameday before the game starts, we lose. And the days where I don't we have been winning. So I guess I should just stay out of here for a while.

3/9 GDT: Flames 4 at Red Wings 2

I used to see all these pro athletes who are just obviously in it for the money and didn't give a s*** about their team or fans at all. And I used to think "Wow, I'm so lucky to be a Wings fan. My team is not like this at all." I'm really starting to doubt this now. This team does not care one bit about playoffs.

3/9 GDT: Flames 4 at Red Wings 2

This whole team looks like they don't care. I miss the days when I could look up to them as fearless leaders with huge hearts (Yzerman, Shanahan, etc).

Reward offered for return of Crosby's Olympic gear

I love how it's REEBOK offering the reward instead of Crosby himself. Seriously? Don't the authorities have important things to work on like stopping crime? I'm sure I can think of a much better use of taxpayer money.

3/7 GDT: Red Wings 5 at Blackhawks 4

The goalie interference on the Kane goal was a pretty weak call in my opinion. HOWEVER, we get screwed over all the time when it comes to goals being taken away, so I consider it karma. The Blackhawks were up 2-0 anyway at that point. They could have held onto their lead. I feel really good about this win, but I just wish this team would learn how to not let it get so close at the end. Honestly, I don't care who wins the Central this year. Let them have the Division Champion banner. I'll take a Stanley Cup banner in June.

3/3 GDT: Canucks 6 at Red Wings 3

Hey guys. I missed the game because I was working all night. I guess I'm relieved I did. On the somewhat bright side, losing by 3 is no different than losing by 1 in regulation in the points. It sounds like we played like s***, but maybe a bad loss is better because it will piss some people off and start a fire where losing by only one would be kinda like "Oh well whatever." (Being more positive is one of my Lent goals)

3/1 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Avalanche 2

Forget beating the Aves. I LOVE watching the Wings beat anyone in regulation.

    Did Crosby earn your respect?

    Nope.

How many packages of gum does Babcock go through in a game?

I heard that he chews one piece per period. I think I read that on here like a couple years ago.

    A day with Henrik Zetterberg

Ohhh man. If I had one day with Hank, I would faint first. Then I would go out for dinner/drinks with him and turn on the charm so he realizes we are soul mates and he dumps Emma for me. Then I guess one of you guys could have her. He is my ultimate celebrity crush.

    2010 Winter Olympics - Men's Hockey Semifinals

I meant the 2nd and 3rd periods of the USA game.

    2010 Winter Olympics - Men's Hockey Semifinals

Obviously wanted Canada to lose, but a USA/Canada matchup will be more exciting I guess (after the snoozefest that was today's game)

NBC Leaves NHL out in the cold

I just came across this article. I guess fans are pissed at NBC in general. http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/media/nb...ategy/19364519/

    Brodeur Out, Luongo In!

I hope they do well, at least for Babcock's sake.
