A team in the East that plays defense...

Osgood played like crap in the regular season last year and the Wings still won the division.

Penguins I cannot take seriously. They are so cute. And their jerseys look like Disney. The Ducks logo is stupid. It's not really a logo, just the word "Ducks." Doesn't take too much creativity. And Ducks aren't that intimidating either. Wild I hate because it's not really a tangible or easily-defined object. Senators have kinda a stupid name. I get that the logo is a warrior type person but when I hear "senators" I think about old rich incompetent men corrupting Washington. The Capitals have a logo that is way too flashy. I liked the old one better. Out of the logos I like the best, I have to say Wings, Canadiens, Leafs, Bruins, and Flames. I hate the Nashville and Phoenix color schemes. I hate the Tampa Bay, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, and Columbus logos. I like the Sharks, Flames, Islanders, Red Wings, and Panthers as names. I love the color schemes of the Habs, Wings, Leafs, Kings, Oilers, Thrashers, Canes, and Canucks.

I really like the idea of a retro-style arena. That's kind of why I didn't want the Joe to be replaced by a huge corporate monstrosity with shiny floors and tons of neon everywhere. I like that the Joe is small because every seat is really good. I hope the new arena would be similar in size. I wouldn't even mind if they made it really similar to the Joe but improved it with bathrooms and etc. I would really miss walking up those huge steps on the river walking into the arena. I get really high and excited every time, so maybe the new arena could have huge steps at the entrance for me too.

Meech will probably be traded if Lilja can play this year. Holland already said that one defenseman will be traded between training camp and the start of the season. Lidstrom will most likely take less money than what he is making now. If Lilja can't play, then we won't have to resign him either.

So I guess that means you're smarter than Kenny Holland too? He signed Franzen. He let Hossa go. He could have raised the offer to Hossa, but he didn't. He did the right thing. Hockey is their JOB. The playoffs are probably the biggest job interview they will ever have. Franzen rocked his interview two years in a row and tied a record. Hossa could have come up big when we needed him and scored some goals, but he didnt. It's done. Get over it.

Datsyuk also missed 6 or 7 games in a row and played with an injury. What's Hossa's excuse?

Quick question: If Hossa is in fact the all-powerful answer to our prayers as some of you think he is, then why didn't we win with him, and why did we win without him?

Because the regular season matters so much, right? I'm sure any Sharks fan or Pens fan this year would have to tell you otherwise. Or Wings fans from 03-06... He wasn't Conn Smythe worthy this year, but he definately should have won it last year if he didn't get injured. And then he showed up this year and had another great playoffs. This makes it twice in a row that he came to play IN THE PLAYOFFS. More than I can say for Hossa.

Anytime in the finals would have been pretty timely for Hossa. Ask Sharks fans how important the regular season is...
