Here is my sign from above: Back in December I may have been a little intoxicated at the bar and managed to lose my purse which always contained a rosary and my lucky Red Wings pin. Of course I was devastated. Today I got a call from the police saying they had it. Some guy found it laying sitting outside on the sidewalk. It was soaking wet from being outside for 4 months, but everything was still inside and not damaged, including the lucky Red Wings pin. I took it as a sign from God. On a side note...there was still cash in there.

I think a facebook page is a great way to keep everything together even if we decide to do multiple things. If we wanted to write letters, we could put addresses up on the facebook page and links to some petition websites, and all kinds of similar things etc.

Can you imagine if Chicago makes the playoffs by 1 point and then goes on to win the Cup...all be cause the idiots in Tonto f***ed up in the regular season?

Now that Crosby is out, the NHL can focus all of its efforts into making sure Chicago wins the Cup again. We can't have our little darlings missing out on the playoffs.

Who cares whether or not it would be easy for the Wings to get Chicago in the playoffs? Pretty much every team in the West would be a tough matchup in some aspects, and have some weaknesses that the Wings could expose. But eliminating Chicago in the last two games would be the more fun way of going into the playoffs. Don't act like you wouldn't enjoy that feeling as a Wings fan. Plus we wouldn't have to listen to NBC and VS people salivating over their every move in the playoffs.

I have my annual banquet for work that Wednesday. I'm just saying I hope game 1 doesn't fall on that day because I don't want them all mad at me for not showing up when I already RSVP'ed because I picked the Wings over them.

Exactly my thoughts. We can beat any of these teams in 7 if we play actual Red Wings hockey, but I think Chicago, Nashville, or Anaheim would be really tiring.

But it's such an easy way out. If it was OT in game 7 of they playoffs and the puck was in your zone and you couldn't get it out, wouldn't you be tempted to shoot it over the glass? Since the rule is already in place, if they take away the rule then people will probably start doing it a lot. Kind of like how if we got rid of the drinking age then a ton of teenagers will start drinking a lot just because they can now.

You don't see a problem with that, considering the awful job of officiating that they already do? That's just giving them one more ounce of power so they can determine who wins the games. Hooking, interference, holding, etc. are already left up to the ref's discretion and we can all see how those penalties are working out.

But if that wasn't a penalty, then what would stop a player from simply shooting the puck over the glass every time the puck comes into his own zone instead of trying to make a play to get it out?

I already posted this but I will put it here too. Elbow nowhere near his head. It's more like an armpit to the head. He doesn't deserve to be suspended but you know he will just because it's Bertuzzi.

A. Bert did not deserve to be thrown out. I posted a picture. His elbow was nowhere near his head. B. There were plenty of worse penalties that did not get called. Holmstrom should have gotten a penalty shot for example. The refs chose this one because it gave the Hawks a 4 on 3 to start OT. and C. Chicago is not better because they are still struggling to make the playoffs. To me a 7-8 seed or non playoff team does not mean better. When the Wings go far in the playoffs, don't hurt yourself trying to jump back on the bandwagon.
