I think ice girls are really tacky. And it's really kind of degrading. If the Wings get ice girls, why not get shirtless muscular men out on the ice too? Most guys will say that the girls in the audience have the guys on the team to satisfy them. But these guys are not getting put out on the ice with barely any clothing on in order to get hormones raging. They're there to play the game and do their job. And we go to the Joe to support them, not to be horny.

I'm sorry, but don't the Eastern vs. Western Conference games go by division? This year the Central division has one home and one away game against all Atlantic Division teams. Central plays the Northeastern division at home. And the Central plays the Southeastern away. I know that all of the other divisions are set up like this too. So that means that THE ENTIRE WESTERN CONFERENCE plays 10 Eastern Conference games at home, and 10 on the East Coast as well, not just Vancouver. The Northwest division will play the exact same Eastern teams, meaning Edmonton, Calgary, Minnesota, and Colorado will have the exact same travel schedule with regards to the East Coast.

Maybe this will be the fire that we need. Remember last year when Bettman was blatantly anti-Red Wings and banned Octopi?

But the thing is Listrom has tendonitis in his elbow. We don't know how severe. Only he knows that. But if a player has tendonitis in his elbow, asking him to sign autographs is going to make it worse. Datsyuk has a hip problem. Asking him to walk around and be on his feet all weekend to make Bettman happy is also unfair.

On Tuesday I have an "audition" for a teaching job. I have to come up with a five-minute presentation on any topic I want (non-academic) and "teach" it to the hiring staff to demonstrate my speaking and presentation abilities. They said they want creative and entertaining topics. I do want to do something that no one else would ever think of doing. So what if I make mine "How to be a good NHL Comissioner" and sort of go over the dos and don'ts? And I could use examples such as "Don't expand hockey to areas where the warm climate may impact its popularity such as Phoenix and Orlando" or "Do keep suspensions and other disciplinary rules consistent." Do you think this would be entertaining enough for a good presentation, or do you think it would be difficult for the average non-hockey fan to understand?
