Well duh of course Crosby's going. He loves having his picture taken. I bet if he didn't show up, for off-ice stuff, none of this suspension talk would be happening in the first place. And Bettman looks nervous because the Stanley Cup Champions are not going. He should have thought about that before allowing fans to stuff the ballot boxes, and asking Marleau to fill in for Datsyuk instead of Hossa or Zetterberg. This game is a joke and I can tell ratings are going to be low.

I love how the NHL puts crappy players in the ASG so that everyone has a representative, but then don't even bother to replace Datsyuk with Hossa or Zetterberg so that the Stanley Cup Champions have 0 players. Way to go NHL!

No. That's the one I wanted. I typed it into limewire and all of the songs that came up were the same verion and I don't know who's even singing it. The Good Old Hockey game is the one you mean right? If you can send it to me that would be great. But yeah those songs are my holy trinity of hockey.

Every Wings game day: I HAVE to wear a Wings tshirt. I wear the same one until we lose, then I pick another one to wear. I do not wash the same shirt between wins. I MUST listen to "The Good Old Hockey Game," "Hey Hey Hockeytown," and "Detroit Rock City" in that order on my ipod When I'm at the Joe with the family, I get Dip n Dots during the second intermission but don't take a bite till the third period starts. When we're at home we eat regular ice cream. For playoffs I do the same stuff, and then I have to eat pasta with red sauce before the game starts, and every noodle must be gone before the faceoff. We also have a mannequin in the basement. We dress him in a Wings jersey and my brother's helmet and pads and a Chris Osgood signed stick an put him in the window (it's a high window above the front door" And we turn the light on behind our little goalie so he looks spooky. My dog is so afraid of it and barks at it non stop and won't come near the window.

You could do something about how the 2008 Stanley Cup came at a time where Detroit was pretty much at rock bottom, and then maybe compare it to the 1968 World Series when Detroit had all of those riots and then maybe write about how sports teams and championships have affected Detroit in times of turmoil. Last year I wrote a paper on how the Tigers winning the World Series really uplifted the attitudes of Detroiters after the riots. And of course this paper was written about a month before the Wings won the Stanley Cup, but I would have loved to compare the two.

I think that whatever teams are in the finals, those fans deserve to be able to purchase tickets and go see them play at home. If it were like the Super Bowl, then just the rich people from everywhere would go just because it's the Stanley Cup. Not because they love one of the teams playing. Plus last year Detroit and Pittsburgh made it to the finals and earned the right to have this extra revenue for their stadium. How unfair would it be for the Wings and Pens if those two games worth of revenue from tickets, food, beer, jerseys, etc. goes to say Atlanta? We know Bettman would put have it in the south or in Vegas in a heart beat.

The whole Eastern Conference in general is overrated. My high school team would have an amazing record too if they played 4 games against Atlanta, Florida, Tampa, Carolina, and the Islanders each (20games = 40 points) If Montreal played in the West more often I doubt they would look as good.

The NHL needs standards for the All Stars. Every team does NOT need a rep. It's like affirmative action for hockey. Take the best players. If every team gets a rep, then the players who deserve to go don't get to because they need to make room. I also think conduct should be a factor. I think that if a player got suspended once from the beginning of the season through the week of the All Star Game, then you forfeit your right to play. Maybe then Pronger etc. would learn. Every fan should get one vote, and also I think the players should get to vote once each. No more popularity contest.

Mule will be much cheaper than Hossa, and I think he has been just as good, if not better lately (notice I said lately and not all-time). He would also be good to fill Holmstrom's shoes when he retires.

What's the big deal about discussing this video. Personally, I think this whole 2-on-1 nonsense is cheap, and the butt/crotch punching is even worse, becuse Crosby was watching and knew exactly where he was aiming. For everyone who calls this Crosby bashing, would it be okay to discuss it if it were Pronger doing it?
