I went to the game last night and aside from the end of the third and OT the game was really frustrating. I think what frustrates me the most is that every Wings game is a come-from-behind victory. We just don't know which team is going to be coming from behind.

Mothers do not HAVE to give their teenage kids allowances, especially if the kid does something wrong or gets in any kind of trouble. Say the kid is failing all his classes. Then the mother can tell him that she will not be giving him allowance until he gets his grades up. It's the same for corporate sponsors. Air Canada does not HAVE to continue to support the NHL if the league does something they don't like. Air Canada is allowed to tell the league that they will continue to support the NHL only if they address and fix the issue.

I'm completely fine with this. Companies do not HAVE to spend their money on the NHL or any other organization. If they see something they don't like, then they can spend their money on a different organization. It is their right to do so. And I think the reason they made it public is because I can see people saying things like "Air Canada took their money from the NHL...what assholes." But they made their reason why very clear, and can get the customers on their side by explaining it.

Or tell your goalie to "not see" a slapshot or something?

I guess the question should be more like what is the chance that each Wings team will show up in the playoffs. If the lazy Wings who blow leads show up then they have no chance. If the full potential Wings show up then there should be no reason they don't win the Cup.

That's the point. To have playoff success, we need a goalie who can win us games even when the defense is sucking. The goalie always needs to be the best player on any team in order to get far in the playoffs. Especially now with the way our defense has been falling apart. It would be nice if he could rise to the challenge.

Especially when some of us have papers due tomorrow morning that we are just starting now.

I know Ann Arbor is far, so I understand people making a fuss about traveling. But the Big House has much more seats, so more people would be able to go than if it were at Comerica. If moving it from Comerica to the Big House meant the difference between you getting a ticket and watching it at home, then I'm sure you wouldn't be so upset about it then. But this is all speculation anyway. We don't even have the classic so we should worry about this issue later.

Plenty of teams don't play in their official city. The Pistons play in Auburn Hills. The Coyotes play in Glendale, AZ. The Dallas Cowboys play in Arlington, TX. No one ever mocked these teams for playing in a certain city.

Those Islanders just keep acquiring goalies don't they?

They can't make it at 2 or 3? There is already football going on at 1:00 anyway so it's not like it would interfere.

I can see this happening maybe in a couple years after they get the Rangers in. I would not be opposed to this at all since the Penguins got to host after recently being in it. In fact, I'll be pissed if the NHL says no because we were recently in a WC because that logic wasn't used before when it was the Pens. And plus we are due for a Western Conference classic since there has only been one and three from the East.

Finally All Star Break

You guys have to remember that this is his job. What if you were at your job when your boss said something offensive about your people? Maybe I wouldn't sue, but he has every right to be upset. My boss called me a guido last year and it really pissed me off because he does not know me that well. It's one thing to say it to your buddies, but to say it to someone that you only know on a professional level is definitely NOT okay.

Where's his suspension?

Typical bulls***. Are you that surprised? There was already a penalty shot called today and they would never dare to call two in one game.

This thread isn't meant to complain about Crosby, so all the people complaining about our complaining can stop. If the title was "___(some other player)____ boycotts all star game" and we wanted to discuss it, does it make us obsessed with that player as well? It's an interesting story. And no one is forcing you to read. Just ignore it.

I know it's a stretch, but IF he doesn't play, he better be there with a smile on his face anyway after he called out Dats and Lids for not going last time.

I know this guy's an idiot but Z will not be punished so why bother worrying about it?

The only part of the ASG that I like is the skills competition and I wonder how much Z would have participated in it anyway so this is completely fine by me.
