I just think that sometimes you are going to get a ref who wants EVERYONE to know that he's in charge. So he makes call after call, wheter it's good or bad because he loves to feel the power.

Slightly scared for the game... ...not due to the superior play of the Stars, but because if there are that many cheap shots in the second game, what are they going to do at the end of the third period if/when the Wings are up by two or three and the Stars know they are on the brink?

Well I'm leaving for Europe on the 13th of June so hopefully this is all done before that day (or else I guess I'm missing my flight)

In my opinion, a team that blamess a playoff loss on "octopus matter" doesn't deserve the cup. And the Wings skate on the exact same ice as the opposing team. So it's not like anyone has an advantage.

Only the Detroit Red Wings can win the President's Trophy to become the top seed in the NHL and still be the underdog throughout the playoffs.

Everyone went crazy, at least where I was sitting. I screamed my lungs out, don't worry. I cheered more for him than I did for the Tigers. But some girl next to me was like "ew he has no teeth" and I said "well he plays hockey, not baseball. There's actually contact." But yeah there was a huge applause for Mac, and he deserves it.

I was at the game last night for my birthday. I'm not really a baseball person though, so to me Mac was the best part of the whole game.

I'm surprised His Royal Crosby isn't on there. I thought everyone wanted to blow him.

Well seeing as I have tickets to game 5 and game 7 I hope not. Just kidding, I hope it doesn't go to 7. But 5 would be nice.

I definately know what you mean. My dad and doesn't really say "I love you" to anyone because he's a guy and because he's really more quiet and reserved. But we always watch the wings together when I'm home from school, and it's our way of bonding because we don't spend that much time together. And when I'm at school and call home once in a while, I'll talk to him and it will be so awkward and have a lot of pauses because my dad doesn't really do phone calls. But then he will ask me "So did you watch the Wings last night?" and then we just start talking and talking and talking. I think it's great that hockey gives us one thing in common.

The entire game counts, unlike basketball where only the last two minutes matter. Any team can score at any time, unlike football where if they are all the way down the field, you know they aren't gonna score for about 20 minutes. And usually it's only one team at a time that gets a chance to score. And also, it takes more than one game to win a playoff round. There's major contact, unlike baseball. The only sport where sticking up for your players and fighting makes sense, and is a huge part of the game. And unlike all these sports, players ARE SKATING, not running. I can't imagine football player trying to play hockey.

Crosby is an awesome hockey player, and he deserves a lot of credit. However, I would love to see AO scoring the winning shootout goal in a gatorade commercial instead. It would make me slightly less nausiated.
