personally I think "get it done" should be our slogan because it describes our team. Don't get a 3 goal lead and then give up 2 goals in the last 2 minutes. Don't let the other team score first so that we have to come from behind. Just get it done.

We already clinched the division, so we automatically get 1st 2nd or 3rd seed and home ice for the first round at least. Nashville needs the points to get to the playoffs. Personally, I would rather play Nashville than Vancouver, and the Wings prob would too. While I don't think they lost intentionally, I think that in their minds it was either play hard and tire ourselves out and push the team you want to play out of the playoffs, or take it easy and help Nashville, which will later help ourselves.

There's no Wings till Sunday, so today I found myself spending well over an hour on Youtube looking at my favorite goals, plays, and fights in order to get my fix. And I started wondering, what is everyone else's favorite video to watch on Youtube (hockey related)? What do you constantly find yourself looking up and watching?

I find it hard to believe that anyone here is a psychic and can see the future. Let him play before you go around telling everyone what's gonna happen.

If we would have added Hossa, it wouldn't just be a matter of fitting him in with everyone else. It would also be us giving up a lot of young talent that could really help us. Look at Ericsson tonight. And it's not like we didn't do ANYTHING. We fixed our defense issue, and signed McCarty, a grinder with a big heart. He will look out for his teammates and put fans in the seats. When we get all of our Wings back, we are gonna dominate the world. Sometimes, I feel like there are very few people out there who can say "I love my whole team. Unconditionally."

HASEK, OSGOOD, ZETTERBERG, LIDSRTOM, DATSYUK, RAFALSKI We have enough big names. How many more do we need? I don't think it's possible to have a great team made of only big name players. I'm satisfied the way it is.

I think having Sammy on our team could be a good thing. It's kinda like when you run with weights tied to your legs. You get used to it. But then when you take the weights off you can run so much better. If we are used to (usually) doing a great job with Sammy on the team, imagine how we are gonna play if/when he's traded.

Last year they were kinda decent. But this year, I noticed that they all feature the same few players: Crosby, Ovechkin, Miller, Staal, Lecavelier...all eastern conference players. The "Is this the year?" commercial and the "In this jersey, I pledge..." commercial are the exact same thing, but with different lines. I hate how they are shoving the same few eastern players down our throats. What about a commercial with hot western players? Zetterberg, Getzlaf, Kopitar, etc? The NHL does have TWO conferences, not just the east. And also when Crosby goes, "In this jersey, I pledge to play for the logo on the front not the name on the back" it was obviously taken from Miracle, a movie that most hockey fans have seen...you would think that King Crosby would get the best line of the whole thing.

That is actually a very good point considering that according to the freepress the only reason for putting the letter on the right side was because they can't but it on the left side without hitting the seam.
