Does the Eastern Conference even matter anymore? Just let Pittsburgh get the next 4 weeks off and go straight to the finals. The rest of these teams are all pretty average.

It's like Jan and Marcia Brady. -
Imagine if it was North and South instead of East and West (I know that it's not possible or practical at all so don't jump all over me). But then one conference can have the Leafs, Sens, Oilers, and Islanders. The other conference can have the Thrashers, Panthers, Canes, and Lightning. Then everyone would get to beat up on someone all season long.

As it has been said over and over again, the East has the best individuals and the West has the best teams. The Wings would have been a 3rd seed in the East this year. It's getting to the point where they aren't even exciting games to watch anymore.

This is true except that the Wings are technically the underdog in this series. I know it's weird.

I don't think we have really had that many easy second rounds lately. Last year the Ducks were really tough to beat. And the Sharks in 07 gave us a hard time as well.

I think it's pretty likely that Vancouver an San Jose will win their series. And we have a good chance of winning ours. With that being said, if Chicago wins their series, we have a good chance of playing the Sharks while if Nashville wins, we will probably end up playing Vancouver. It pains me to say it but I would love to see the Hawks win. And of course the Sens as well. This is all just based off of my predictions though.

If Datsyuk was sticking up for himself at the end of the game, how would he be the instigator? The guy he's sticking up for himself against would be the instigator here, and he should get the suspension.

The whole instigator thing is kind of stupid, but it is a rule and if it's in the book it needs to be enforced. Imagine if the NHL would stop making up rules they don't plan on enforcing.
