I know where you're coming from. I go to MSU so not that close to Chicago. But I met a Hawks fan at a party last Thursday or Friday and he started talking s***. I then reminded him that the Hawks lost to Nashville at home and he proceeded to push me into a crowd of people. I will also remind you that I'm a girl. So that was extra classy on his part.

As much as I dread ever having to play Nashville in the playoffs, all I want to say right now is f*** YOU BLACKHAWKS! With that being said, I hope this goes to 7 games and they beat the crap out of each other.

Great game. I hope this get's Jimmy's confidence up and he just goes to a new level.

I really hope the Sharks make it out of the first round. I want to play them (assuming the Wings can make it out of the first round themselves). It's just ironic that Nabokov played amazingly all game until one of his teammates shot the puck at him.

I did falter in my superstitions a bit today and I promise you all I will step up on Tuesday. Seriously though I am really upset right now that the boys don't seem to care. They need to fix their attitudes.

We might as well put in Ozzie now. At least this way if he plays terribly too, we aren't wasting a game 4 start on him.

What a great game! Will Hank ever dump Emma for me?

This pisses me off more than any other bad call. Lids could have been seriously hurt, and there was no penalty.

So far, every team that I picked to win their first game has lost. If the Kings win this tonight I might need to pinch myself.

My suggestion is to carefully wash it. And then throw just a tiny pinch of salt over your left shoulder into the water for good luck. I probably sound like a crazy woman but I have done this. I'm not saying a huge handful...just the smallest pinch you can grab.

This truly does feel like Christmas Eve. And what can I say? It's the most wonderful time of the year. That was absolutely fantastic and if it turned into a children's book I would buy it in a heartbeat for my little cousins.

Besides the Wings (we are technically the lower seed) in the West all I can really see happening is the Preds over the Hawks in 7. I think this series could go either way, but this is the most likely upset because Nashville has the advantage in goal and their defense is great. In the East I can see Bruins over Sabres in 6 because the Bruins are something like 4-2-0 against the Sabres this year.

The arena might get crowded. That's a safety hazard.

I really liked "Ready to Roll" by Jet Black Stare from last year.

I miss those days in general. He was the hero from my childhood. And it's weird to think that my little cousins are going to grow up in an era where their childhood hockey heroes are Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen. Not that they aren't hero-worthy or that I don't love these guys too. It's just weird. It just makes me officially old that I can say to them "Man, you should have been alive during the Yzerman/McCarty/Shanahan days" because I sound like my parents now. But that's the way it goes I guess.

This is going to be so boring because the Yotes have no fans to come in and show us their pictures.

About the New York/Philly game: I always felt like a shootout is not a legitimate way to end a game and make huge decisions (like who gets to be in the playoffs). It's not a team effort.

I hate to say it but the Bert goal from a while back was more of a kicking motion than that.
