Everyone listed has a contract...you aren't just going to vaporize them. Who's going to take those guys off your hands and give you cap relief? And Quincey is far from useless...he's a decent 2nd pairing or elite 3rd pairing NHL defenseman.

I have no problem with fighting in hockey....guys like Clark Gillies, Bob Nystrom, Terry O'Reilly and early in his career, Probie, were good hockey players who could fight when they had to. When you start seeing stiffs like Colton Orr and John Scott out there...guys with no skill...squaring off with each other as a side show to the game, I have no use or patience for that.

They had Ildar Telyakov (6-8, 231) in couple of years ago...he even played a bit for Toledo. Telyakov was an older Russian (I looked it up, he was 23) . Meyer is 18...so it may make more sense to invest some time in him.

Mtl takes a step back...TB...who knows? Conventional wisdom says they'll be better with experience, but is there a rift between Stamkos and Cooper? Sometimes a team that comes close and loses needs the boost of adding someone. Wings adding Shanny is a prime example. They didn't do that...yet. We're a wildcard...new coach, injured superstar, new defense pairings, lots of young talent coming along up front. Could be good...could really struggle if Pavel's ankle is an ongoing issue, Hank's cold streak down the stretch is his new reality and Green doesn't click or gets hurt again. The Rangers...meh They skate beautifully, but something just isn't there.. Columbus coud be really good, Pittsburgh is a potential mess with Malkin seemingly a very unhappy camper. The Caps got Oshie so they're going to be unbeatable in shootouts. Boston will e terrible....and that will make me so very happy. Right now, I'd say Tampa takes the east because they seem to have the fewest question marks.

I think he plays like a center too often..shoot the damn puck and quit looking for that extra pass. Given his defensive limitations, I don't know that he's a top six wing on a championship level team. I think he's a monster 3rd line wing who sees time on the PP ideally.

Not as good as TJ Oshie...I can tell you that right now. He's the real Prince,unlike some of the pretenders to tthe throne. He's a murderous uncle away from being Hamlet

Yes..over time he's been consistently better on the SO than most...if not all.. of our options..we would have been a far better team with him on board last year. He's a stud...his woman is hot and we must have him on our team if we ever hope to bring home another cup.
