Lebda is as good as he will ever be, his stock will never be higher. Quincey is out of options, he can not go to GR without being exposed to waivers, which we would lose him immediately if he were exposed. Lilja is not our best PK, I would say that Lidstrom has that honor, Rafalski is much better also. Losing Lebda and or Lilja is not that big of a deal.

Phoenix has a top notch goalie in Bryzgalov, no way does Howard beat him out.

I heard there was a conference call with coaches picking straws to see who gets Lillypad if he gets waived. For every praise you just sang for Lilja, (yes he blocks shots) its frightening to see him handle the puck, he hardly ever uses his size to his advantage, and he is sloooooooooooooooooooooooow. I think some of the roles he handled in Detroit have been out of necessity and not out of being better than the other defenseman.

I cracked up when that kid posted that Toews at the 3 spot was highway robbery. The draft went Erik Johnson 1, Jordan Staal 2 and Toews 3. At this point Toews is the better pick than Staal IMO. Robbery though, uhh no... Was good for a laugh, but if you draft in the lottery spots for a few years as the Hawks and Pens have done, of course youre going to improve in a hurry.

From what I heard on NHL Home Ice (XM Radio) Chicago can place Khabby on waivers, and when nobody takes his 6.7 mill salary, he can be sent to the AHL, where the money is off the books. If the Hawks call him back up, he will have to go through waivers again, but a team could claim Khabby for half of his salary, and the Hawks pay the other half.

Why put Quincey on waivers ? That doesn't make sense..... Lilja on waivers, would make sense. Quincey wouldn't make it past the first team with waiver priority....They won't just give him away...

If and when he returned to the NHL and was available, teams would be falling all over themselves to get him. He has a ton of talent when he's got his head on right.

Coming into the NHL, Radulov was known as a very immature kid who let his temper do the talking. He has all the talent in the world with a 2 cent brain controlling it. Many people think that if Nashville had approached him about an extention during last season, he would still be there, but uncertainty with the DelBaggio situation and who knows if the team moves in a few years or not could be part of it.

Someone said that it was another "everyone wants to go to Toronto" rumor, and I have to agree. Florida will wait until the bidding gets at the highest peak before dealing him, which will happen. Florida is a bad franchise, and will end up elsewhere eventually.

The Hawks also did not sell tix for their home opener vs the Pretenders, nor did they sell their tix for Cindy Crosby and the Penguins... MLB has opponent pricing, along with other sports, im sure that the prices for that outdoor game and the Pens will be priced out of this world. But they will sell them with no difficulty

With the way that players are being overpaid in the NHL (see Jeff Finger from Toronto) I think they got off light with Filppulas contract, but that's for another thread.

Lilja held on for dear life in the Phaneuf fight, if you can call it that. Same with Chris Neil.

Holland has said Quincey is out of options and has to be on the Wings roster. Ericsson is going to GR because he can go without waivers, because if Quincey could go, he would be in GR and Ericsson in Detroit.
