I think you people need to start watching games without being homers and making up excuses for the Wings when they lose fights or give up bad goals, or turn the puck over in their own zone. I call a Spade a Spade, I dont say "Oh dont blame Mac hes 36" or "It's not Ozzies fault, someone else didn't stop the puck" or "Its not Lebdas fault he turned it over, the RW didnt come back to support him" to use a few examples around here. Im waiting for "if you dont like it dont come back" original response too, that should be a surprise.

when a guy takes a punch or multiple punches and hits the ice, hes knocked down. McCormack didnt tackle him, not sure what some of the homers on here smoke these days. Its always some sort of excuse, why can't people just say Mac Lost the fight when he was knocked down ?

Our speed is superior to theirs, they had trouble with us skating up and down the ice in the 1st period. Their secondary scoring is better than ours, but we did do a good job against the Sakic line. Budaj is not the second coming of Ellis, the Wings have worn him out before. Our defense corps is superior to theirs, with the exception of Lebda / Lilja. Lebda did make mistakes last night, he was basically non existant in the offensive game and didn't do well when they were cycling the puck down low against us. I'll be glad when they put Ericsson / Quincey into the lineup and this guy is long gone.

Yes when Stuart comes back , he's in the lineup. But why do you assume they put Lebda in, because he was garbage last night, as he has been most of this season. He wasn't alone as Chelios looked terrible as well.

Theodore had a good series against Minnesota, but Minnesota can't put the pressure on offensively as the Wings can, and Minnesota doesn't have the defenseman that can push the puck up the ice as the Wings can. It remains to be seen if Stastny is as good in his own zone as he is offensively.....Hejduk is a joke defensively IMO, guy is a cherry picker who disappears when it gets physical. Theodore will have to be great for them to win. Foote and Salei will cause trouble for sure, but Sakic will be the difference.

Nashville is a nice city, you can walk around in the downtown area and not worry about being mugged. There are many different tastes in food and music, and lots of pretty gals to check out. 2nd ave south is a great area, lots to do. I have many friends there, and enjoy the town when it's not hockey season.

Osgood even though hes playing good right now, but he's 35. Howard is unproven, and they paid Hasek well the first time around, and Curtis Joseph. But I think Miller would get 5 mill per AT LEAST. Don't forget that they did get into the bidding war for Khabibulin but the Hawks went to 7.5 mill per. EJ Hradek is reporting that the Wings will contact the agent for Dan Ellis, who is a UFA after the Stanley Cup.
