Bad goaltending was the major issue in Nashville. Ellis got hot at the end, but he is apt to let 3 in during a 10 minute span as he is to stand on his head. Mason is a backup and nothing else. Jeremy Smith will have their jobs in a couple of seasons when he's ready.

their goaltending is not solid; ellis will shut someone out and then give up 3 goals in 10 minutes. Mason isn't much to crow about either.

Don't forget that we "buy our team" but if you look at theirs, their core is stacked with free agent signings. I don't see the Wing's having to get revenue sharing money, but yet once again Nashville has their hands out getting revenue sharing from the NHL.

lots of the usual "Wings choke in the 1st round" crap on 104.5.....Seems to me that you need to win a playoff game on the road and a series before you start talking about other teams past failures. Playoffs are a different beast, but both teams have inconsistent goaltending.
