Remember there are many who moved to Nashville from Michigan for the Saturn plant (The timeframe you mention, that might be your situation) There are too many examples from too many visiting fans for the events described to be fabricated that many of the Pred Fans are bungholes. I was at the game last night, and as usual, the Predator fans do all the SUCK chants which are stupid. Im wondering if Red FX is really a Predator fan instead of Wings. There was a family behind me, with a son and daughter, the boy was 6, the daughter 5.... They were chanting "CHELIOS SUCKS BIG ONES" well they learned it because others in the section were doing it. They were still chanting all that crap when they were losing. After the game their radio guys assessment of the game was comical, the Wings had all the penalty calls, and the Preds were screwed. First period was all Predator power play, and they had another goal which was a power play. I also heard how my Wings were "CHEAP SONS UH B**CHES" and how they cheat and choke in the playoffs, blah blah blah. They don't want to notice that Tootoo doesn't start his stuff when Downey is on the ice, and for the large majority of their fans, they don't watch other teams play and really don't know the league. If Tootoo fights someone who normally doesn't well thats hockey....If someone tries to take up for their teammates that is bigger than Tootoo, then its just someone being a bully. Oh Yeah and don't forget that Webers better...... Im not generalizing the fans as a whole, because there are some good ones in Nashville, but for the most part they don't know the sport. Oh yeah and for all the PRedator fans who talk crap about Chelios....A girl was hit in the head with a puck, and as they were taking her to the medical station for assistance, Chelios gave the usher a stick and asked him to give it to the girl as they were walking off. Yep, hes just a sissy and a classless bas**rd eh. Im sure I'll hear some rebuttal of "IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT DONT GO" which may be what happens. I don't plan on attending another game this season, unless they luck out and make the playoffs and happen to play the Wings. Just in case Pred FX wants to say I dont live here, well as of 2 weeks ago, Im back in the area again. I was also in the area for the first 5 seasons.

The majority of Nashville's home games are with teams that are in a back to back game situation. Just another way of Bettman trying to help them make it work there. Been that way with the Wings visiting there for 10 years.

Nashville has to win at least 6 of 8 to make the playoffs, I dont know if FooFoo runs around headhunting tonight.

They act like its a blood rivalry in Nashville when the Wings are concerned. The teams such as Nashville and Columbus get up like its their Super Bowl when the Red Wheel comes to town. Makes you wonder where that intensity is when they don't play the Wings, and why their respective coaches don't get that effort from their teams other times.

When a skate is involved, how is one stomp different from another? Once again Bettman drops the ball and the NHL has another black eye and are subject to ridicule for not enforcing incidents such as this.

Dom is immediately wanting to flop these days, but Dom's job is to stop the puck as the last line of defense. Goalies won't stop them all, but Dom is too easy to read these days, the opponents know Dom's first reaction is FLOP and they are getting most of the net to shoot at when he's doing that snow angel routine in the ice. Can't blame it all on Lilja (just some of it) The Wings play to the level of their opponent.

The Wings play well against the playoff teams and crappy vs the non playoff teams like Nashville, Columbus, Chicago. Nashville may get in but one and done for them.

Yep, I guess Dom doesn't feel like stopping the puck today. It gets old losing to these non playoff teams, but yet the wings have winning records against the best teams in the league.

I don't think Babs gets the Jack Adams, I think Gretzky will be a finalist, along with Montreal's coach. If the Hawks make the playoffs, you will have to consider Savard. Dats may get the Byng again, and he has improved his defensive play, but i'm not sure if he will get it or not, Zetterberg gets praise for his defensive play so he may take votes from Dats.

I was listening to XM Home Ice this morning, and they were discussing Lidstrom, all the guys on that show (its from Toronto) said that its Lidstroms trophy again. Cherry does not like Euro's (well known) and part of Cherry's schtick is to make controversial comments so people will watch to see what's said next. Jovo is having a good year, but as Phil Esposito said "Lidstrom has 52 assists, and he's on the ice against the opposing teams top line, shutting their players down" I had read somewhere that the Penguins were pushing Gonchar for it, but lets be honest, that guy is pathetic in his own zone.
