That was on their rumor list, not confirmed as of yet....
-
TSN said there were no deals overnight that were official...
-
I remember when they had Denis Arkhipov and he got a DUI, cop flashes the light, Arkhipov drives up on the sidewalk and waits for the cop to walk up....
-
Comrie's name has been mentioned with the Wings popping up later in the sentence.
-
Bryan Murray built the Wings team up before Scotty Bowman took over.... Murray also built up Anaheim prior to Burke sneaking in and winning the Cup.
-
I had a vendor who is a blues fan tell me that because the Blues made the playoffs all those consecutive years, that made them the most successful team for the past quarter century. That didn't even deserve a response.

Proberts been playing in the alumni games, you think he gets a tryout ???

BRING BACK PROBERT !!!!! BRING BACK KOCUR !!!! BRING BACK PRIMEAU !!!!! BRING BACK STEVIE !!!!

He has a right to his viewpoint, but what he's wanting is for people to kiss the Nucks ass because they won a game. Others including myself did not kiss their ass, so now he's wanting to act like we're bad fans because we don't think the Nucks are a better team than the Wings. If I went to the Nucks site, I wouldn't expect anyone there to agree with me, but if I said that losing Hasek would be comparable to losing Luongo, I would expect to be called an idiot. Point here is saying losing their defenseman is comparable to the Wings losing their top 4 at once, especially including Willie Mitchell in that argument is , hell I dont know what to call it other than homerism at its best.

Lets just not start comparing this kid to Lidstrom, and see what he becomes on his own. Switching him to forward wont happen, and he may not be ready for the NHL, but who wouldn't make mistakes in their 1st or 2nd game? I think he did fine considering the circumstances....
-
This is sounding like a Legionaire type argument more and more with each post.
-
Whys that? Because we don't agree with your opinion of your team? Maybe Nuck fans are toking out....Yeah Wings are bad right now, injuries to your top 4 defenseman do that to a squad. Wings also lost their starting goaltender in Hasek, and who knows whats up with Osgood. (Another rookie in the lineup with Jimmy Howard) Take Bobby Lu away from the Nucks, see if you fall flat quick. Without him, you guys aren't in the 6th spot that you were last night.... I do have a question for you though... The Nucks are supposedly in the Hossa sweepstakes, so tell us what they would actually give in return. Nonis has said he doesn't want to give up youth.....
-
I think the reason you're laughing is because deep down you really know that without Bobby Lu, your team is on par with the Leafs......
-
All Burke is doing is trying to drive the price up for anyone thats a threat to them repeating.
-
they said the Swedish scout recommended it after he was drafted.
-
maybe Chris Chelios told them to convert him
-
Have you seen what Campbell wants in terms of salary ???
-
Vancouver has lots of money.....no excuse.

Mitchell = hack Ohlund I'll give you that one Bieksa is decent, Edler stepped in for that so its a wash. Salo - another Lilja who will actually shoot the puck. Lidstrom and Rafalski - the top 2 defenseman in scoring in the NHL. Kronwall - top 2 pairing in Vancouver, he was having probably his best season prior to his injury Chelios - it hurts due to depth issues. Also add in that Quincey and Ericsson have less than 20 games NHL experiance, another guy in Stafford his 1st game, Meech getting his first time as a top pairing dman. They dont have any time at all with each other, so they dont know where anyone will be, aka chemistry. Nucks still struggled last night with all of that going in their favor. Yep great team up there in BC....Yep

You know Ev, there are social fans, and then there are real fans. Real fans watch the other teams play besides the Wings. Nucks should have beaten us last night without having to rely upon stupid turnovers and 2 good plays by Kesler. Howard didn't have much help in front of him at times. But Vancouver is still a team that is not at the level of the Wings when the Wings are not injured. Honestly they can't hold our jock.
-
If you think Vancouver is a better team / org than the Wings, youre stupid. Of course they should have beat us last night, the defensive corps are a mess right now. Saying that they aren't that great of a team is the truth, and even their OWN tv guys said that the Nucks are needing secondary scoring help. Im the one that gets ripped here for daring to say that some of the Wings players are crap, or some of the players these fans are wanting to bring back shouldnt come back. Are the Wings losing right now ? Sure they are... Will it be OK when the injured heal up and return....YEP. Will Vancouver be more than a one round and done team NO. Luongo is their only hope.

Bowman also emptied our farm system in trading for veterans, something he did with Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Holland built that up. Bowman walked in on a good team, built by Bryan Murray. People act like Burke built a dynasty or something in Vancouver, they had a crap goalie, and benefitted from Milbury trading Bertuzzi for Trevor Linden, who was going back to Vancouver anyways. They had a window to make a run and Burke couldn't or wouldn't get more players to perhaps get to the Finals. Thats part of it, but Burke isn't the genius people give him credit to me. Randy Carlysle is a good coach in Anaheim, but Burke is just riding the coattails.
-
McCarty still has some work to do, but I dont know if they bring back Marty, who's place would he take? Guess that depends on what happens with other deals.
-
Eventually Ericsson would be a PP defenseman, that 101mph slapper he showed at the AHL Skills Competition gives him a shot at it.
-
anyone know the specifics on Lebda? I'm not sure if he can be sent down without passing through waivers. Meech can not be sent down without passing waivers, which he would not.
