Nash still is one of the better power forwards in hockey today. Say what you will about his team or me attitude. He is more of the team guy than he used to be. He'll actually drop his mitts now and then for a teammate. Seen him do it vs the Predators before. BJ's may be wanting rid of Feds yes, he does carry some salary. Not sure off hand what his contract consists of and how much longer hes under contract. You maybe have hit it on the head with the washed up comment, they may deal him regardless of their playoff situation.

Youve not watched much hockey have you? Hitchcock plays games like that, and its not like Columbus has a big supply of GOOD defenseman. Fedorov hated playing defenseman in Detroit when Bowman played the same game with him, but I shouldn't expect people to remember or realize that. It's called the good ol' motivator......

Captain Kangaroo (Hitchcock) had Feds playing at the blueline also, because Feds pissed him off with his lack of emotion when he was with Nash. I dont think Capt Kangaroo likes Feds very much.

Ok, heres the question I have about Fedorov's play RIGHT NOW....Not during his time with Detroit... IF he's not putting up numbers with RICK NASH, and Zherdev (who is actually showing that he gives a damn this year) what makes anyone think he would put up numbers with Hudler and the Mule? I know Feds has had injuries this year, his current concussion and groin pulls, but this guy's performance the past 2 seasons shows that he is on the way out, or he just doesn't give a crap. Either way it makes you question a return to the Wings, regardless of what man-love and girlie-love goes on within these threads. He's NOT what he was people. Honestly, I don't care if Humpty Dumpty came to play as long as they win the Cup............................

Kings were expecting a roster player, top prospect and 1st rounder prior to the fracture, still expecting at least a 1st rounder for a guy who admittedly will return to the Kings. Brian Burke (Anaheim GM) has been dangling the pick he recieved from Edmonton (non playoff pick) and he is interested in Rob Blake. I'll be surprised if they do this trade. Ryan Malone - he's been scoring often since Sid went down with his ankle injury, I dont see them dealing him now. DMac - who do they move to make a spot for him? Don't see it this season, perhaps next year. Sports heroes are like pets - Its hard to let them go. He was a warrior for the Wings, but what does he really offer anymore? Not many fights (if any at all) in the playoffs, secondary scoring is a Wings need, grinding they already have. I would prefer him over Drake if and IF he can continue to keep his nose clean and off the bottle. Sundin still hasnt agreed to waive the no-trade clause, Hossa will command a roster player, multiple picks and a top prospect. Also remember that they can't use up all the money, because Zetterberg gets signed after next season, Lidstrom in a year or two. There are other players that get contracts after this season, Filppula and Cleary come to mind, hopefully Cleary hasn't seen Dustin Penners and JP Dumonts contacts yet. Wings brass won't pay Cleary 4 mill per. Cap is going up but you still have to be smart about using it. Rangers have bought an impressive lineup, but it's not equaling wins, and they are near the bottom in scoring. When the Wings come calling about a player, the prices go up, especially with Clearys injury.

Malone has been playing well in Sids absence, not sure if they move him now. Ruutu is garbage, he's another Tootoo. Trent Hunter - wouldn't have a problem having him, guy is underrated. I wouldn't be surprised to see Brad Stuart wearing Red, they need the depth and even though the ladies on the site will argue because he's cute or whatever....Lebda hurts us more than he helps. Certain ones on here think because Quincey and Ericsson are in the minors they must stink, or didn't impress anyone or whatever...Contracts and not rushing players have something to do with that, Meech was up all year because he was out of options and they didn't want to lose him through waivers ( someone would have taken him ) but eventually something will have to give because Ericsson and Quincey (who received praise from the Wings after his playoff performance last year) will get their shot at staying with the big club.

Eventually Quincey and Ericsson are going to have to get a chance; Quincey didn't hurt us last year and I think he would do fine once again. The focus now has changed that Cleary is out for up to 8 weeks on getting another forward who can score here and there. Kubina isn't bad, but he's nothing special.....I agree with whomever said he may be a mentor for Kindl, but there are 2 damn good ones in Detroit named Lidstrom and Chelios that he could learn from as well.

Maybe you should look at Yzermans numbers before saying that. Fedorov wont be passing Steve Yzerman in all time scoring.

I don't remember Fedorov playing on a busted knee for a season, and if you think Fedorov WAS the Detroit Red Wings, was he an important part YES, but not the face of the team. Yzerman was the heart and soul of the Detroit Red Wings organization, but dude what are you thinking? Dont answer, I dont want to know. I think I already know the answer
