Paul McCann (Nashville City Paper - its the one thats FREE and nobody reads) states that there are tax legalities that have stalled the sale (supposedly tax issues with the bonds that are being used) but it's supposedly going to be a done deal next week. E5 HAHA Heard this on Home Ice on XM Radio yesterday.

He's the one who signed Kesler to that outrageous offer sheet, and remember after he stepped down as GM he came back in some capacity, which means he still has clout within that front office. Sorta like Bowman within the realm of the Red Wings.

The Rangers released a statement on behalf of Avery but from what it said Avery has lost 2 grandparents to cancer, and he is denying the remarks about that, but said something to the effect that he couldn't comment more until the legal actions were completed. Hopefully he's not that low of a person to make jokes about cancer, considering he's lost family members to it.

ESPN couldn't show the NHL, it would take away from their daily attempts to force the NBA down our throats.

He and Kane are fun to watch, Hawks will be better, theyve had enough seasons of drafting towards the top of the draft, not surprising they are getting better.

He's looked pretty bad out there tonight. The passing hasnt been as good as normal, not much of the grinding stuff from the Wings, not winning many faceoffs either. Perrault and Lang are killing us in that dept.

Saying stupid stuff like Kane is better than Zetterberg, thats ridiculous. Hawks have the longest time between Stanley Cups now, and aren't about to win one anytime soon. Hawks are improving, dont act like a bunghole just because you finally have a couple of players who score goals. I know its been a long time since the Hawks have been winners, but that's no excuse for acting the fool.
