, But how many of Zetts goals were setup by Datsyuk? Judging a good or bad season by only projections or stats as of yesterday, well its absurd. Datsyuk is a playmaker people, he handles the puck better than most, he looks to pass before shooting (he admits that) and he plays well on the penalty kills. Zetts is rolling yes, but Datsyuk is playing well in his own right. Perhaps Datsyuk should shoot more, but I don't think the guy looks like he's losing confidence.

They have Hasek (when healthy) and Osgood, so it's not hurting Howard by playing everyday at GR. But at some point it will have to be put up or shuttup with Howards career. Would be nice to see him get a few starts here and there, with Lidstrom and Rafalski in front of him. Someone posted that hes had 4 starts, and he didn't embarass the team from what I remember while he was in net, the issue was lack of scoring , I do remember he lost to Calgary 3-2 and he beat the Kings, not sure who else he faced.

Downey tried to get it going with him twice, but Tootoo wasn't on the radar much in this game. But I hope that youre not going to sink into the depths of Section 303 with that remark... HAHA j/k but they should save that SUCK word for the Volunteers and Vince Young's passer rating ....

Downey took care of that one in San Jose. I can't find the details / video clips of that fight, and did look on hockeyfights.com. How did that one turn out ? Why have we not added the mighty midget Tootoo to this list? Guy is always wanting to bully Datsyuk and Zetts, or anyone else that he knows wont fight him. He and Chelios are funny though, all the smack talk that goes on. I would like to hear what they say to each other, would be good for a few laughs.

usually when a supplier (brighthouse, comcast, cox) takes that channel onto their lineup, eventually it makes its way around to all the divisions under that name. You should get it eventually. I have COX and the NHL Network is in the same tier as the NFL Network. They are in the mid 200's here in Pittsburg.

I lost respect for some writers during the season that they gave Pronger the Hart Trophy. I think sometimes he gets too much respect. I think Joe Sakic has something to say about that best captain in hockey title right now.

Im near Kansas City and they added the NHL Network to our package (Cox Cable) last week.

Eklund had his trip to Nashville paid for, and the telethon to sell tickets was sponsored by the radio station that has the Predators rights, but they failed to realize that Eklund isn't the most credible person to represent your team. Legion, did they have local celebrities at that rally to sell tickets? Everyone keeps forgetting though that the Titans suck up so much money from the community , perhaps its hard for people to afford season tickets for BOTH.

They did give him a chance, its called his first demotion to Grand Rapids. He brought this upon himself, players know better than to show up at camp out of shape. Hopefully this wakes him up and he can come back next season and make a better impression.

I was watching one of their games out on the Left Coast and one of the announcers was attributing their bad play as of late to "players wondering if they have a home next season or not". I guess missing one of their top Dmen (weber) and the lack of scoring by Radulov and the dismantling of the roster has nothing to do with it. I live near KC now, and I couldn't agree with you more on the fact that KC is not a hockey city, it probably wouldnt work, and the area around that new Sprint Center is not in the best of areas, (its old) they are making improvements, (restaurants coming in, and street / freeway renovations) but there is a long way to go with the renovations around that arena. The Royals park is getting a major face lift, not sure how much city money is tied into it, but the NHL needs to find another venue. Las Vegas you could argue yes or no easily, big tourist town, lots of people can fly in to gamble / see a game, go to the Chicken Ranch, the Playboy Casino, etc etc. But how many people would buy into the season ticket routine? I dont think they would have a problem with the corporate backing as Nashville does, just doesn't sound right though, Las Vegas and the NHL. Just my 2 cents. I do have friends / contacts there, a couple of them are in the Nashville Sports Authority, and they're not having good thoughts about this situation. The Titans draw the larger corporate backing in that town, but some of the local businesses in the Sonnet Center area (restaurants and night clubs) who benefit financially when the team is playing at home, haven't stepped up as some thought they would. I cant tell you which restaurant / bar has purchased season tickets in this "keep the team" cause, but it's not what they thought. I know my friends boycott the establishments that have not purchased a season ticket or two (Baileys Sports Bar on Broadway in case youre curious Legionairre) this continues to be a circus and Leopold is continuing to bend this town over and not lubing up in this situation.

They'll need Downey vs Nashville when the mighty midget Tootoo does his usual skating around looking for a fight routine. The Mclaren fight probably didnt do more for the Wings besides send a message that "we're not tolerating this stuff", but I think that it's good to have someone who will play that enforcer role when teams try to intimidate us with the rough stuff.

plus / minus is perhaps not a good stat to use in evaulating someones performance on the ice , because you can gain / decline due to someone elses good / bad play. Kopecky hasn't done much so far, he did setup the Ellis goal vs the Nucks by standing in Luongo's way and throw a few hits. I think they swapped him for Hudler on the second line and he recieved over 12 minutes (not sure exact minutes and seconds) but I guess they were pleased with his play.
