There were some of Tootoo's teammates (2 of them are in Philly now) that would speak openly about how his game (2-2) was borderline cheap, especially on the hits when he leaves his feet to try to hit someone high. When he was brought up the center of attraction was centered on his ethnic background moreso than his actual game (Before the resident Pred fan says anything, I was a resident in Nashville when Tootoo was brought up to stay) he really doesn't draw that many penalties, but at times hurts the Predators with his own lack of judgement and taking dumb penalties at bad times (playoffs come to mind past 2 seasons) he's not that great of an agitator, I dont see him staying around in the league for long, his style of play is hard on his body, (especially shoulders and hips) plus from what people around the team say, he doesn't work that hard on improving his areas that he lacks in, say OFFENSIVE SKILLS. I will say one thing in his favor, the man sees more a** than a truck stop toilet. I still have contacts in Nashville that do have season tickets, their assessment of the Tootoo fight.... "nothing special" and "typical Tootoo trying to land the first one" His game speaks for itself, therefore theres not much to speak of.

theres much more to lifting weights than just a bench press / biceps curl. To be honest, consulting a doctor or dietician would be best that way there is some sort of schedule to follow with a proper balance of what you should or shouldnt eat. Starving yourself only results in your metabolism slowing down, yeah you'll lose a few pounds of body water but that comes back quickly. Part of the dietician's job is to lay out for you what you can eat, how much and how often. Balance of all the foods is important, including counting your carb , fat, and calorie intake, not eating crackers and drinking a pop in place of a meal. Medical Insurance will cover a visit to a dietician, especially if you get a referral from your medical doctor. The fad diets work in the beginning, but they dont keep it off for good. Speaking from experiance here, and im throwing in my 2 cents.

Buffalo didnt really have a choice, they knew they were losing Briere and Drury to UFA, so they were in position that Vanek had to stay. As much as I dislike Burke, the Pronger trade well he had picks to trade that came before he came in, so he once again took advantage of the gold mine that he walked into, and got Pronger. I have to disagree, you should sign your young RFA's first before going to raid other peoples talent. I would take Penner right now over Bertuzzi. Penner wouldn't have cost him what Edmonton is paying him. Burke is already trying to TRADE that #1 that he just received. You take care of business at home before going to raid other teams talent, which is what he did in Bertuzzi and Schneider. He still doesn't know what Selanne and Neids are doing , this one is a botched effort by Burke, who in my opinion, is a very overrated GM. They do sell 96% fat free beef (it is more expensive yes) and baking / grilling your beef / chicken / fish is much more healthy than frying. (White Turkey breast is good, the dark Turkey meat has more fat) Laying off of bread and rice will help your waist line, if you do eat something like a Subway sub, dont include cheese. Salads are good, but the salad dressings can be loaded up with fat grams and or sodium. Mexican food is a no-no, potatoes are a no-no, and in Chinese buffet food, MSG ( a preservative thats used in Chinese food) is a no no also. I do use Pico de Gallo in my eggs, and I use my George F grill to cook some of my food. Try laying off of soda pop, and drinking more water. (8 - 8oz glasses of water per day is what a dietician will recommend) Hydroxycut and other diet pills, dont waste your money, they are not the answer. Cocaine, well I never used that, but I would recommend not using that to lose weight

I know people who are friends with him, he doesnt like hockey very much, has season tickets, but they are perk from somewhere. He just goes for image sake. I havent heard the guy they hired to do the radio broadcast yet, I guess he was a former VOLS broadcaster or something. When they do that Predators caravan, they should send the star players to the places like Bowling Green, or Clarksville etc, instead of sending the ones that are down the depth chart, like in the past sending Reid Simpson, or Hutchinson etc. It might draw more people from around that area. Boots joined the group to enhance his image with the NHL, and he will be happy to take over if this group starts losing money. If there is an expansion team available, Boots will be able to get out of Nashville and take the expansion team (probably in KC) and will have good standing with Gary Butthead. That was said in Kansas City, where im at currently. As for Leopold's supposed "staying on as a minority owner" well thats hard to do when he's applying for the same thing in Minnesota. If that average attendance isnt 16 to 17K (Freeman said publicly they would have to do so in order to profit) look for Boots to buy out that group and take over completely. Scott Walker was a popular guy around Nashville also, he was accessible and people liked him For Old Times Sake.... Patrick Cote - everyone knew him because he was the brawler, and (speaking from personal experiance on this) he was popular with the crowd (and the workers ) at Deja Vu over on Demonbraun. HAHA Regardless , even if the casuals dont know the players, they do know that the Predators are cutting salary and trading away players, things like that go like wildfire, especially with McCann and Glennon fighting to get the scoop on the other.

Ive read that the NBA's tv ratings have dropped around 30% this season, and the gambling issue doesn't help their cause. NASCAR has also dropped in ratings, so it's not like the networks are raking it in over those 2 sports. Around the Horn is nothing more than a comedy hour at times, its rather boring anymore.

The local Nashville group has said they will have to average 16 - 17K in order to make money, and their offer is less than Balsillie's and Boots. Whats the season ticket count now after Plasters telethon ? They sold almost 800, but that would place them around the 8000 mark , give or take. The Titans PSL (Personal Seat License) fees don't help the cause , they are high dollar fees on top of the ticket prices. Even IF they make the 14000 goal, what happens in a few years if the new owner(s) are losing money, does this "jumping the ship" so to speak happen again???

When Babcock was with Anaheim, he DID carry an enforcer (Garrett Burnett) I think Bowman is the one who doesn't want the enforcer, because they want to roll 4 effective lines. Yzerman has stated that they don't need a player like that , so I doubt the Wings have a tough guy anytime soon.

Cale Hulse hated those mustard jerseys when he was a Predator, he said they were twice as heavy as anything else he had ever worn in his career, and it was worse once they started absorbing all the sweat during the game. now IF he had a Blackhawk or Leafs jersey going, that statement may be different. The hatred the Predators fans show towards the Wings is much more intense than what the Wings fans show towards the Predators people. I think the Wings view Nashville as a divisional opponent, where the Preds people think its a blood thirsty feud. I've pissed some people off in Nashville by saying that. I will probably stir up a debate on that, but oh well. Did you happen to go to some of the pubs close to the Joe ? Shrek may have gotten a few remarks if he ventured out in some of the watering holes in the downtown area.
