In some cases thats true, but I play in a deep NHL Keeper League, in which I've had Quincey for almost 3 seasons, so I've actually paid attention to his career, including watching some Griffs games streaming online.... He wouldn't get Top 4 minutes in Detroit but good for him taking advantage of his situation in LA. This thread should be left at that....

The problem with Ron Wilson was the players just tuned him out, it happens to him everywhere he's coached....

The idiots in Nashville seem to think this will happen, but yet they don't seem to think their hockey team is losing money and rumored to move elsewhere.

More than likely, Quincey read the writing on the wall, he knew that he wouldn't get Top 4 time (duh) and he knew that they weren't going to dump Lilja and Lebda regardless of how bad they were. Going to another team does help ones confidence at times... Im happy for him, hope he continues to do well in LA...

thats because people forget mccarty has a 2 way deal; and that he was waived last week...helm doesn't hurt us at all, in fact he helps out defensively where we've been STINKING as a team...... its not redwings standards for team defense so far this season....

I would like to see Nashville numbers, along with the number of PP's they get at home vs against. Seems like they get tons of calls at home.

That would be Matthew Barnaby.....ESPN has to continue to force feed people the NBA, which is saturated amongst the USA with the coverage that they along with TNT have, and wait until ABC starts with their Sunday afternoon games......

He finally had a good game this season, that third line including maltby has been bad so far. Last night doesn't mean that all the problems are worked out, that was a bad team wearing the home jerseys.

Kopecky, Lebda, and Meech all would have to pass through waivers, as the case was with Quincey. McCarty has a 2 way deal but I doubt if anyone would pick him up.

Bottom Line is this.....the Wings did not play their usual shut down defense, nor did the 3rd and 4th lines show up at all. Perhaps this will wake some people on the Wings up and they start playing with more intensity in the defensive zone than they have.

Sundin is a very good player, and hes no slouch in his own end of the ice....There is no cap room for Sundin. Its not just D that is slouching defensively, its the entire squad....

I heard that Shannys wife wants him to play in the Northeast, close to his home in NY....

Nashville has said they contacted Shannys agent, but the agent told them that they were not a team that Shanny was interested in playing with....

Leino would be playing more than 3 minutes a night, do you really think he would get less time than Samuelsson??? LOL at Sammy being an established player who can't be beaten out by a younger player. The ice time yes is more for Quincey at LA, but he is making all of you who said he was garbage and worse than Lebda, eat lots of crow...

Ive been saying for a few years that Lebda is garbage and now a select few on LGW are starting to see it for themselves so the rest of the crew are all of a sudden seeing it also. Ever think that Holland just made a mistake in putting Quincey on waivers ?? Quincey is not the next coming of Norris Nick, but he's putting up his numbers now with a far less talented team than he was with in Detroit. The best move for the team as a whole Mr Marcus would have been for Lebda and Lilja to be given the heave-ho and Ericsson and Quincey to be with the Wings learning from Lidstrom / Chelios / Rafalski and the Wings staff every day, sorta like they did with Jiri Fischer. I realize that you can't keep all the talent, especially at defenseman where the Wings are loaded, but in this case Holland released the wrong guy.

The only reason Leino is at Grand Rapids is because of the cap situation, and Leino is already better in his own end than Hudler. The reason that Hudler stays in the doghouse is because he does not make good decisions away from the puck but I will agree that Samuelsson gets away with too much.
