Check out how close Philly, Washington, and NJ are.

Good thing for you the Ducks dropped the "Mighty" from their name this season! You can now live with a clear conscience even if Anaheim wins.

You know you're a Detroit Red Wings fan if...

ESPN = Every Sport Pucks Non-inclusive (hey, I tried!)

And to go along with this, I did some statistical work and found that teams with the lead after three periods went on to win 100% of the games!

Calgary 4-2 over Detroit Minnesota 4-2 over Anaheim Vancouver 4-3 over Dallas San Jose 4-1 over Nashville Buffalo 4-1 over New York Islanders New Jersey 4-3 over Tampa Bay New York Rangers 4-2 over Atlanta Pittsburgh 4-2 over Ottawa Feels weird betting against the Wings but you know what they say: Bet against your favorite team. Either way, you win!

If Atlanta can start scoring again...and if Lehtenin can get healthy, I think there can be a champ there. Until then, I'm watching Ottawa tear it up.

Okay, I'm not an MSU or UofM fan, but isn't it "...conquering HEROES..."?? If I'm wrong, I'll crawl back under my rock. If I'm right...that's just sad that you proudly sing it wrong!

A tradition with my Griffin group is that we eat at El Sombraro before each game. Good food for cheap. And you get lots of it too!

I guess it's fitting that the team is called the ROADrunners... Link

Okay, some more changes in the A for next season: Dallas Stars will drop their affiliation with Hamilton Bulldogs (shared with the Montreal Canadiens) and start up again with the new Iowa Stars. Montreal Canadiens will keep Hamilton all to themselves. Calgary Flames will drop their affiliation with Lowell Lock Monsters (shared currently by the Carolina Hurricanes) and start up again with a new team in Omaha (currently no mascot). Carolina will continue to share Lowell next season but this time with the Colorado Avalanche. St. Louis Blues will have a new AHL affiliate next season in the new Peoria Rivermen team. The Blues' current affiliate, the Worcester IceCats, are moving to Peoria, Illinois. That will be a big help to St. Louis to call up players at the last minute. Toronto Maple Leafs will no longer have St. Johns Maple Leafs as their farm. St. Johns is packing up and moving to Toronto to become the Marlies. As for the Portland Pirates losing their affiliation with the Washington Capitals, Pirates Managing Owner/CEO Brian Petrovek issued the following statement: “A relationship between the Washington Capitals and the Hershey Bears makes a great deal of sense based upon the locations of the respective markets. This is a good move for both organizations and for the league and we wish the Capitals well. We look forward to introducing our new NHL affiliate to our fans in the near future and to launching a new era of Portland Pirates Hockey.” All I can say is...good luck with that. When the Dallas Stars dropped the Michigan K-Wings as their IHL farm team, the K-Wings were looking at folding the team because no other NHL team needed them.
