Looks like the day off in Phoenix is biting us in the ass. Question.....Maltby was a 50 something goal scorer in juniors right? Were they all empty netters? Because if there is a goalie in sight, Maltby hits him right in the chest.

I'm not a big follower of either one of these two and I'm not up on their salary cap numbers but if you're going to provide a roster spot for Brad May, why would you have not just kept Aaron Downey instead? Don't get me wrong....I mean, Brad May's offensive output is impressive But it seems to me that Downey more than made up for that glaring difference in offensive production by bringing more of that 'Dallas Drake Wrecking Ball' nature to the team than Brad May seems capable of bringing. Just a thought.

That's kind of my point......neither is the opposing team.

I'm just glad May actually won a fight! It was getting almost painful to watch him getting beat-up night after night {the voice of Ken Daniels} "And off goes May for repairs"

I was just watching NHL on the Fly and they had a segment on there with Mark Messier discussing the composition of an NHL helmet. Is it just me, or did the toy manufacturers use Mark Messier's head as a model when they designed the old kid's game - "Rock em, Sock em Robots?"

I'm watching the game as I'm typing and I actually found a little bit of respect for Crosby....just a little. It was 4-0 SJ entering the 3rd. The camera crew were showing footage of the Penguins coming down the tunnel to start the 3rd in a game that clearly is not going the Penguin's way. There were a couple of very young SJ fans stretching over the rail trying to brush a hand against any of the Penguin players and none of the players even paid attention to these two kids. Crosby was one of the last to come down the tunnel and simply raised his glove up to kind of give these two kids a small high-five. Sure it's a simple act but it's something these two kids will probably remember for a long time to come. So in that respect.....a little thumbs up for Crosby.

To see Cheli stuff in the puck on that end to end rush to send his former team home?

Is it just me, or is Nick starting to slip a little.....becoming...um..what should I say? Human? It seems he's getting beat a lot more so far this year than I've ever seen him. Cheli went through a similar spell last year in the playoffs and most everyone was calling for the hangman's noose. The way our defense has played of late....Cheli can't get well soon enough.

LOL...well sure, Nick of old could always fend off 2 players! No, not just tonight...he just seems off his game so far this season. Seems a little hesitant at times. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with basically an overall breakdown of defense on most everyone.

Vancouver was 3 points out of a playoff spot last year. Is Sundin not worth 3 points? If not, why did so many on here lobby for him to come here? If he can help get them into the playoffs....we've all seen it enough here of what a hot goalie can do in the playoffs. Luongo is quite capable of getting hot at the right time. Don't be so quick to count them out.

The Wings brought Drake in to be a one man wrecking ball and now that he has finally reached his first Stanley Cup Finals, one would think that he would be going ballistic out there on any Pen that crossed his path. But yet I haven't seen much of him doing that????
