It was the old NHL. In New NHL, quite speedy and skilled Peltonen would be a different fit. But as you said, at 33 he's maybe too old to come back.
-
Maybe Lewis was just watching what went wrong at 2004...?
-
Hmm, if he likes to be here in Detroit why trade him? We can have Samsonov possibly cheap from the FA-market at next summer, if he really wants to come here and likes to be here. Better use Hudler for something else (physical d-man).
-
RFA? How is this possible, he is already 31 years old. ???
-
Trade Hudler for Samsonov and have "little russian bastards" line at next season: Samsonov - Datsyuk - Grigorenko 5'8 - 5'10 - 5'10 180 - 180 - 202 lbs
-
How is this possible??? I though he would be the leading defenseman and that's why he is up playing with wings. But in third pairing..?
-
Thank you very much! Is Hudler really playing at wing and point? What was the defence usually with Lebda there? Could you get some update here like once week, or even a month?
-
Fûck them all, we have Niklas Kronwall.
-
Jönsson would be really nice, but he left the NHL because of his concussions. It's better to his health to play in Swedish second level. NHL's rough play could be really bad for like Lindros etc. One concussion more and he could have headaches and using painkillers for rest of his life. Health is just not worth of money. But of we're gonna after him, there's any trade. He is UFA. He would replace Fish as defensive D-man quite well. Lidström - Lilja Lebda - Schneider Jönsson - Kronwall
-
McCabe was awesome. He was on the ice everytime the Capitals scored.
-
I hope they will bring him straight on to play with Datsyuk. Russian league is a tough league and Grigs won't necessarily need any AHL-matches. But we'll see what he is capable at next training camp. I think he'll take the spot like Datsyuk straight on.
-
This sounds nice. Kronwall, Lebda, Quinsey, Kindl, our future core. I hope Fischer could be part of that also some day.
-
What about Selänne from Anaheim for a pick? Teemu was awesome at the Olympics and he really is in his old form after his knee surgery. Teemu is earning only 1.0 million, so he could fit easily to our budget. Many players are out joining Wings because of their salary, but not Teemu. This move would be the same like Robitaille at 2002. Shanahan-Datsyuk-Selänne This line would be roled like Finnish 1st line Lehtinen-Koivu-Selänne. Grinder-Playmaker-Scorer, and it just worked great. Holmström-Zetterberg-Samuelsson Nice line what Sweden used at Olympics. Yzerman-Lang-Williams Solid line making very deep offence. Maltby-Draper-Franzen Grindline. Cleary as 13th forward. Lidström-Lilja Woolley-Schneider Kronwall-Chelios Lebda as 7th defenseman. He could maybe replace Woolley. Legace (Osgood)

What a fûck is Toronto thinking, if they want Zetts or Dats ? Only what woud be reasonable is to trade Lang for him. And that trade wouldn't change anything in our team. Never happen.
-
Lang + Hudler for Doan. Next year: Samuelsson - Zetterberg - Doan Shanahan - Datsyuk - Grigorenko Holmström - Franzen - Williams Maltby - Draper - Cleary
-
Do you know these signing deadline facts? When this guy has to be signed? http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdispla....php3?pid=76181 Kontiola is our best player here in Tappara and I just hope we don't lose him after this season.
-
I think the only prospects who will break to the lineup, are Grigorenko and Lebda. Shanahan - Datsyuk - Grigorenko PF winger - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Holmström - Lang - Williams Maltby - Draper - Franzen Stevie retires, we don't re-sign Cleary and Mowers. Or maybe we sign another for spare forward. Lidström - Lilja Kronwall - Schneider Lebda - (Chelios/physical D?) Woolley, Rivers and Fischer gone. Or maybe Rivers could be spare d-man. Chelios wants to continue his career, but I hope we'll acuire Jason Smith or another physical D-man instead of signing Chelios. Legace (Liv/Howard) Get rid of Osgood, re-sign Manny. Liv and howard to separate backup games. More playing time for them obvioisly at the Griffins.
-
Hmm, Witt maybe would be best guy to replace Fisch. Then we would have quite nice D-pairings. Lidström-Lilja Witt-Schneider Kronwall-Chelios Puckmovin - defensive roling in every pair. It should work.
-
My next season: Lang & Hudler for Doan. Cleary for Laraque Shanahan - Datsyuk - Grigorenko (Russian duo with PF) Samuelsson - Zetterberg - Doan (Swedish duo with PF) Maltby - Draper - Laraque (PK duo with fists) Homer - Franzen - Williams (Swedish duo with some skill) Lidström - Lilja Kronwall - Schneider Lebda - Physical UFA (Quinsey) Legace (Howard/Liv)
-
For how long is Legace out?
-
That line has been my dream a long time ago. The offence looks very good, but we really hae to rebuild our defence. Chelios retires and Fisch is gone and other fellows are probably gone. 2006-07: Shanahan - Datsyuk - Grigorenko Zetterberg - Lang - Williams Maltby- Draper - Samuelsson Cleary - Franzen - Holmström Lidström - UFA Schneider - UFA Lebda - UFA (Rivers, Lilja) (Quinsey?, Kindl?) Legace Howard
-
We have Pavel here...
-
I'd do it also. Murray + Boynton = 5.9 million. Lang + Holmström + retiring Fischer = 6.9 million. So we would get room for one extra million at the total budget. Shanahan-Datsyuk-Murray Samuelsson-Zetterberg-Williams Maltby-Draper-Yzerman Cleary-Franzen-Mowers (Filppula/Hudler) Lidström-Boynton Kronwall-Schneider Woolley-Chelios (Rivers, Lebda) Legace (Osgood, Howard) Looks very ***** nice for me.

Does anyone know these facts? When has the european prospects to be signed or they'll become free agents/re-enter the draft? I remember it was after two years players drafted since 2005, but how went the years before? 2004 2003 2002 2001 etc. ?

Trade Lang instead of him and get some PF material here.
