That fast? I hope they don't hurry too much.

Have you seen him playing? If not, so how could you know anything? Liv is the 1st goalie in Swedish National team right now. (except the guys in NHL) But to the original question, when has European guy to be signed if he was drafted at 2004 draft?
-
Liv is domintating right now in Elitserien so I think itäs obvious we'll sign him to play at Griffins. HV71 leads the league mainly because of his awesome season.
-
That Salei-scenario sounded nice. Him and Kronwall would be nice additions at the spring. But we will miss Jiri... I hope the guys will play this season for him. Everyone remebers 1998, even Andres Eriksson was brilliant then.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=13949...495&hubname=nhl Semin maybe joining the Caps. So why not Grigs joining the Wings? Would somebody call to Holland!?
-
So no one really answered this. Is it possible? Is it allowed? It is possible. Russian League is not inveolved with the IIHF contract between European prospects and the NHL. The only deadline is 1st december, when NHL-players have to be contracted if they are going to complete the NHL-season. Just like Kovalchuk signed few days ago, Grigorenko can do the same if we want to do so. We just have to give a very big transfer money to Cherepovets Severstal.

Filppula has same size like Zetterberg and that's why I think he will pass Hudler in the future. The skillbase is quite even with them.
-
I have no reason why Valtonen stayed at Jokerit. I think his time is passed now, cause he is really sucking at Jokerit right now without a phenomenal playmaker Glen Metropolit. And in future it's also very tough to sign those European players with this new CBA. The younger guys will become more important than him and I think he will never be a Wing or even a Griffin. And that's a pity. And he is not Polish. He was born there, but has lived his whole life in Finland and is Finnish citizen. Just like Tomas Sandstrom was born in Finland but is Swedish.
-
Not so well start at the league. 3 games 0+0=0 so far. TPS has 0 points after 3 games.
-
Scott Hartnell would be nice. Big, young and gritty right winger. Shanahan - Zetterberg - Hartnell Holmström - Lang - Yzerman Maltby - Draper - GOON Lacouture - Franzen - Williams
-
This is looking very nice. Jämtin has scored 11+1=12 in seven games at pre-season. SM-liiga will start on thursday.
-
He's slightly bigger than Yzerman.
-
Nice, Filppula played as 1st line center. Big Shake had a fight. Did he won? Howard saved every puck, like expected.
-
At next season Fischer will make huge impact. He was awesome in Europe with the new NHL-rules and was the best D-man for Czech Rep. at the World Championships.
-
I really like his handness. Right handed defencemen are very bably disappearing.
-
Just saw a junior game today between Sweden and Finland. Mielonen scored with an awesome blueline blast on the powerplay. He looked very nice right handed defenseman. Hopefully he would join and help the Wings some day. Finland won the game 2-0, Tomas Sinisalo (ex-Flyer Ilkka Sinisalo's son) scored the another goal with a sharp wrist shot the top self.

Not bad trade. Would benefit the both teams so I think this will happen. Gagne - Forsberg - Knuble Smyth - Carter - Kapanen Brashear - Primeau - Stevenson Sharp - Richards - Radivojevic Very good offence.
-
We would need right winger like him. Send Dats to Long Island for Parrish + some defensive prospect.
-
Yes, but it don't work if you have 12 centers. You need good natural wingers also. Boston has already Bergeron in the wing, and this makes no sense to give another natural winger to Datsyuk.
-
Why would Boston need another center? They have Thornton, Zhamnov, Bergeron, Scatchard, Green, Boyes, Hilbert.... No sense from their point of view. I'd take it from a heartbeat if they could add Hilbert also there. He is one of my favourite.
-
Draper is our next captain. Don't you ever think we are trading him. He will retire as a wing. Drapers role and ability could easily let him play at high level at least 38 years old. He will be the captain when Stevie retires and if there's no Lidström.

Jämtin scored today when TPS won Basel (Swiss league club) 4-2.
-
I just heard from my friend from Turku that Jämtin is doing very well at pre-season. He started at TPS as a third liner, but he has alredy risen to the first line with his good effort. He's a fighter, but not by using his hands. He's a fighter as a person. He has never gotten anything for free anywhere during his career. In every team he has played, he has started from the bottom and fought his way to the top lines. And he is doing the same again. I think he will be a Wing some day. This is getting better and better at every moment.
-
Doesn't work with the cap. Canucks can't afford for Ilya.

I just thought the guys who Red Wings have and who of the new and old guys should be in the Griffins. The team would be quite full especially with forwards. Ellis - Hudler - Bootland McDonell - Himelfarb - Kopecky Manlow ??? - Filppula - Jackson Hackert - Oulahen - ??? How about the defence? Meech Lebda Quinsey Helmer ??? Others? MacDonald MacIntyre
