Fischer's salary was already out from the cap because of long-term-injury, so there isn't any money to be used.
-
It will be that 2.2M against NY Islanders cap for next eight years. That bought-out will be only Islanders problem. If we'll sign him (scenario) for the next season for example 3.0M, it will be that 3.0M against our cap, and that's it. Yashin could get then 5.2 million per year to his own pocket, so he should be quite happy then. And I think Yashin for 3.0 mil is a bargain...
-
I didn't mean that. I ment he could take personally less, cause he is getting those buy-out money (2.2 mil every year).
-
Quite nice buyout. Should we offer a contract for him? He could be cheap, cause he is getting those buy-out money.
-
We need some RIGHT HANDNESS guys to make our power-play better, but I think Samsonov is not that guy. I'd still prefer Jeff O'Neill. He is a sleeper power-forward with a huge right hand shot. He is just suckin at Toronto and would need a new scenery at Detroit.
-
If Dom goes, we should trade for Toskala.
-
I didn't know the trading rules have been changed. If we can get Blake just for pure money at the trade deadline, I'd say do it. Blake is coming UFA after next season, so he could be cheap to get at the deadline. Just like Bert and Calder was.
-
Sign Hasek, Markov, Chelly, Bert and sign Hartnell. Let Schneider go. Trade Rob Blake at the trade-deadline to strengthen the power-play (cause the Kings are quite sure out of playoffs). Playoff roster: Holmström - Datsjuk - Bertuzzi Hartnell - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Franzen - Filppula - Cleary Maltby - Draper - Kopecky (Hudler, Grigorenko) Lidström - Markov Kronwall - Blake Lebda - Chelios (Quincey, Lilja) Hasek Osgood

Kozlov-Datsyuk-Grigorenko would be fun to watch. DUnno, He's 35 years old and on the limit with his age. I don't want Sergei back. He is turning 38 at next season and past his prime. The injuries have really hurt him.
-
I can bet that Bert is going to take less than 3.5 million and it even isn't wishful thinking. Just look what GM Kenny does. He is a wizard in handling these kind of situations, when players future considering his health is a little uncertain and the player has a strong will to stay.
-
Exactly. He's gone (and old and slow and no grit and no heart).
-
Teemu Selanne earned 5.8 million before the lockout. Then he had knee surgery and came back with 1.0 million contract. Ultimate cheap contract just because he wanted to play in Anaheim. He socred 90 points during that contract. I think the situation is quite same here. Todd wants to come back as a Wing no matter what. Todd is going to take huge paycut and will make 1-year deal. Then if he manages to play a good season, he will get a raise to the next season. Like Selanne did, he's earning 3.5 mil now.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=208859&hubname=nhl Bertuzzi wants to stay. That's why I think we'll get him quite cheap. I'd say 2 million with some bonuses. If he is healthy, he can get his big money, but if he isn't it wouldn't be so big risk for us.

Brian Rafalski - Definitely yes Teppo Numminen - Maybe Cory Sarich - Maybe Aron Miller - Maybe Tom Preissing - Maybe Craig Rivet - Dunno David Tanabe - No Ken Klee - No Jon Klemm - No Jamie Heward - No Mike Weaver - No Brent Sopel - No Rory Fitzpatrick - No Sean Hill - Suspended Patrice Brisebois - Hell no That's all UFA's.
-
Just get Hartnell and O'Neill and we are set.

There was news at Finnish Newspaper Iltalehti today, that San Jose Sharks are going to trade another of their goalies, Vesa Toskala or Jevgeni Nabokov. GM Doud Wilson has said that this will happen at his summer for sure. Nabokov is not so tradeable beacuse his high salary, but what about Toskala?
-
Cory Sarich's right handness doesn't matter anything, cause he is pure defensive D-man. If we want right handed d-man there, he should be then offensive pointman. Dan Boyle for example. I'd keep Markov and that Tom Preissing would be interesting. Also Rafalski.
-
Also would love to get Hartnell, but he shoots at LEFT.
-
I think our 1st priority is to find RIGHT HANDNESS TOP LINE FORWARD. Almost all our skilled 1st line guys are lefties, and the prospects are also. Jan Mursak is the only right shooting guy in our system. Chris Drury would be the best choice, but I think we can't afford him. Jeff O'Neill would be the guy, I have that feeling. Power-forward, still at good age, awesome shot. He has had bad years now, but could turn his career around in Detroit. Good atmosphere and good feeding with our excellent "ron francis-like center" Pavel Datsyuk. I think it would work. I think we could get him quite cheap and it wound't be a big risk if he doesn't find his play even here. Holmström - Datsyuk - O'Neill Filppula - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Hudler - Franzen - Cleary Maltby - Draper - Kopecky (Grigorenko)
-
Flip - Dats - Homer Stein - Z - Sammy Dan - Lang - Huds Malt - Dra - Kope This is what we got, and it's not bad at all. Just win.
-
Any news about him?
-
Bertuzzi out, Calder out --> both Kopecky and Hudler in.
-
Put Hudler in. Fresh legs and less giveaways.
-
They really deserve it. Bryan Murray is my man. We owe for him a lot. He build the 90's Wings. I want to win him, but he is maybe the best person to lose.

We won game 1 against Avalanche at home (2002). We won game 1 against the Ducks at home (2007). We lost game 2 against Avalanche at home. We lost game 2 against the Ducks at home. We won game 3 against Avalanche in Denver We won game 3 against the Ducks in Anaheim We lost game 4 against Avalanche in Denver. We lost game 4 against the Ducks in Anaheim. We lost game 5 against Avalanche at home. We won game 6 against Avalanche in Denver. We won game 7 against Avalanche at home. So we are going to lose the next game but win the two last games? Who knows.
