Probable roster: Ritola - Emmerton - Haydar Mursak - McGrath - Pare Gelech - Helm - Abdelkader Lemieux - Oulahen - Tardif (Leino) Leino could replace McGrath at 2nd line, if he stays at North America. Ericsson - Pyett Kindl - Galvin Kolosov - Josza Howard Larsson I think the core is quite ready, 13+6+2 players signed including Leino.

We added quite nice effort according these stats: Shot blocking: Andreas Lilja 91 Brad Stuart 88 Brian Rafalski 64 Nicklas Lidstrom 62 Niklas Kronwall 55 Chris Chelios 41 Brett Lebda 26 Derek Meech 14 Hits: Andreas Lilja 109 Brad Stuart 82 Niklas Kronwall 67 Chris Chelios 45 Brett Lebda 38 Brian Rafalski 26 Nicklas Lidstrom 22 Derek Meech 14 I really like him.

Definitely Lilja. We need his size and physicality. Here is some stats, nice adds from Stuart. Shot blocking: Andreas Lilja 91 Brad Stuart 88 Brian Rafalski 64 Nicklas Lidström 62 Niklas Kronwall 55 Chris Chelios 41 Brett Lebda 26 Derek Meech 14 Hits: Andreas Lilja 109 Brad Stuart 82 Niklas Kronwall 67 Chris Chelios 45 Brett Lebda 38 Brian Rafalski 26 Nicklas Lidström 22 Derek Meech 14

Selänne was without contract to any league = no waivers. Markov is contracted to Russian club.
-
Is it Kindl or Stafford? Any facts anywhere?
-
Typical Eklund. Just pure s*** without any facts.
-
They were different lines at today's practise. Filppula - Dats - Homer Franzen - Zeta - Sammy I think those will be the lines against th Blue Jackets.
-
Meech + 2nd for Blake. Samuelsson for Fedorov. Dats - Zeta - Homer Flip - Fedex - Cleary Huds - Franz - Kopecky Drake - Drapes - Malts (Ellis, Downey) Lidas - Raffy Kronner - Blake Lilja - Chelly (Lebda) Hasek Ozzie

Yes, that selfish two-time Selke Trophy bastard.
-
I'd take Sammy + prospect + 1st for Doan. Wouldn't mind for Foote either.
-
There's no reason to miss Miss Lang.

How many times we have to say, that we can't make an extension to Zetterberg yet? Zetterberg is still signed for next year and we can make the extension after July 1st. No any way before that. Understood? Cleary and Filppula are the next extensions. *** Loved that Lidstrom contract. Only player who should earn the Max in the league and he takes a paycut. What a captain.

I think we should look to team which are going out of the playoffs. Atlanta, Florida, Washington, Edmonton, Phoenix and Los Angeles are only team under a point per game, and I think theydonät accomplish to the playoffs. So what kind of material they have that we could use? Atlanta: Slava Kozlov, contract till 2010. Bobby Holik, UFA at next summer. No defensive help. Florida: No offensive help available. Jassen Cullimore, UFA at next summer. Familiar from the training camp. Washington: No defensive help. Viktor Kozlov, contract until 2009. Edmonton: Geoff Sanderson, UFA at next summer. Dick Tärnström, UFA at next summer. Phoenix: No offensive help. Doan too expensive to trade. Nick Boynton, contract till 2009. Derek Morris, contract till 2009. Los Angeles: No offensive help. Rob Blake, UFA at next summer. Brad Stuart, UFA at next summer. So there isn't very good material available. Rob Blake would be interesting, I'd love to see him with Lids. Boynton, Morris or Stuart would help to make our D more physical. Only interestin forward is Slava Kozlov, but his contract is maybe too long. That doesn't fit our plans to save money for Zetterberg.

The Canes defense is just horrible in the own end. They are lucky they have so weak division. Othervice the Canes wouldn't even catch the playoffs.
-
I really want to win the Cup with Ozzie. It would end that crap from the last decade that Ozzie was lucky to play and win behind so superior team.
-
Forget Forsberg, we will get Sundin cause the Maple Laughs will trade him at the deadline.
-
I think he takes 7 million. It would be still fair. That would be a slight paycut, but the cap is rising anyways, so signing Z woudn't be a problem.
-
Let's face it, Z is going to slow down at some point
Henkka replied to Flip-check's topic in General
Who cares. Everybody is going to slow somedays. But Z is still there, and is going to be the Art Ross. All Crosby whiners can shut the fak up. -
So there has been some new signings. Center Randall Gelech and defenceman Garrett Stafford joined the team. Forwards: Matt Ellis Mark Hartigan Mark Cullen Cory Emmerton Carl Corazzini Darren Helm Evan McGrath Ryan Oulahen Randall Gelech Johan Ryno (can return to Sweden) Mattias Ritola (can return to Sweden) Defencemen: Kyle Quincey Jakub Kindl Jonathan Ericsson Brad Ference Grarrett Stafford Derek Meech (un-signed RFA) Goalies: Jimmy Howard Adam Berkhoel The team is quite near set. Only if the swedish duo will return to Europe, then we'll need some forwards. Othervice the team is in quite good shape. Ellis - Cullen - Hartigan Helm - Emmerton - Corazzini Oulahen - McGrath - Ryno Ritola - Gelech - XXX Quincey - Kindl Ericsson - Ference Meech - Stafford Howard Berkhoel

It would be very nide D. But i'm still afraid about this championship D, if the captain comes back. Schneider - Niedermayer Pronger - Beauchemin O'Donnell - Huskins/DiPenta/Hnidy

What if he'll sign with Wings for 500k ?
-
Will someone know the lines Griffins are using?
-
Doan at Wings would be my dream come true. He could make almost same affect like Shanny trade at 1996. Big, gritty, physical forward with right handed shot and can play 1st line minutes. The Yotes don't want anything old and s***ty like Lilja or Sammy on that deal. they want prospects or younger guys to rebuild. I also like Kronwall and Filppula, but if we can get Doan, a star player at his prime age, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. We want to win the Cup and then developing young players comes just second primary thing. Kronwall, Filppula (rather Hudler, but I doubt they'd want him), McGrath + 1st rounder for Doan. I think Yotes would want Kronwall, so they can trade Jovocop somewhere in same kind of deal, maybe to Rangers. Rangers have a lot of prospects to get Jovo. In my trade scenario, I'd also sign Markov after losing Kronwall. Then I'd sign Forsberg, if he would fit under the cap. Dats - Zetts - Doan Homer - Foppa - Sammy Franzen - Draper - Cleary Drake - Kopecky - Maltby (Hudler, Ellis) Lidström - Markov Lilja - Rafalski Lebda - Chelios (Meech) Hasek Ozzie Quite nice gritty adds. One thing also to make would be trading Lilja somewhere to make cap room and bring Ericsson up straight away.
-
Why not send Ellis down? I just understand it. Ellis in GR would be a lot of better choice for them.
-
The icetimes from yesterday said the same. Hudler - Zeta - Sammy 16mins - 25mins - 19 mins Franzen - Dats - Homer 13mins - 22mins - 16mins It was quite obvious that Zetterberg's line was the 1st line. Every guy in his line played more than guys in the Datsyuk's line.
