Mixing the straightforward approach with the finesse style of goal-scoring keeps the goalie honest. Better to keep him guessing all game long than to be consistent and give the keep a chance to catch on to your patterns.

Congrats to Ellis and Downey! With luck, Grigs will get NHL-ready quickly in GR, and the others will maintain the effort they put into *making* the team initially.

We hear this garbage every year, even though we're the most successful franchise in North American sports (Most consecutive post-season appearances of any team in any NA sport)

I hope more teams follow suit. I hate the new websites and I hate the new jerseys, insofar as it all just seems like wasted effort. Why bother when that effort and money can be used somewhere more productively?
