they may have a negative effect on top players salaries going up to high but the teams know what the cap is so its their own fault for over spending.

I just dont see what role he can play. He cant be a checker because he has no speed or will to fight in the corners (he's even said that himself). He's not a powerplay specialist. He's not a great set up man cause he gets knocked off the puck VERY easily. He doesnt drive the net to score goals.

i noticed leino last night. the thing i noticed was that he was completely invisible the whole game there was no shift where he had the puck more than 2 seconds. this guy is NOT nhl caliber. sorry finnish wing.

in the old days they would have made them leave the skate on til it healed. that way the swelling wouldnt get so bad they couldnt put a skate back on.... of course back in my day we walked 20 miles to school up hill both ways....

Janik=Lillypad. He even pulls a pain-train bonehead give away once a game. Stay at home defensemen are not bad. We need one besides Stuart (who has had to move into a more offensive role). Keep Janik up.

May had at least 2 quality scoring chances which is about one more than leino has per game. I was surprised. he was REALLY fired up.

well my thinking is...the guy speaks almost no english at all. just having someone he can converse with in russian cant hurt the fact that he is supposedly like the most depressed guy on the planet. -

Ken Kal was saying on the 97.1 the other night that he thinks he will resign in Atlanta but if he doesnt the wings will have some** money to at least offer him. Hes more deserving of a ridiculous contract than a lot of other guys right now(see blackhawks) and this may sound cheesy but having another Russian might help out Datsyuks off the ice problems.... -
i got to have a quite a few BS sessions with him about guitars and music when he was with the wings. he was the freegin nicest guy. get better void!

I havnt read the whole thread, with that being said, Leino had MUCH bigger expectations coming in and basically told the red wings he was a scorer and wouldnt play in GR. Boyd seemed to play whatever role was given to him here and when he moved to Toronto. He was a 20 goal scorer in the OHL so what did you expect from him? He had a good year with dats and hull but who wouldnt! Oh wait...Leino pry wouldnt.

I was thinking Leino might play better with all the advertisements on his jersey. he could use them to confuse opponents. Can we just have one player with little ceasers patches all over.
