Well im not basing it on one game im basing it on half a season. of course all the players have had ups and downs throughout the games. he has had no ups. There was no game where i thought to myself he was even close to the best player on the ice (or even top 5).

The great thing about Leino is he was UNWILLING to develop with Grand Rapids. He said if he wasnt in the NHL this season he was going home. Well we all see how that turned out! Send him down to GR and see if he escapes to Europe.

when guys were going out and playing with injuries they werent considered the million dollar assets that they are today. During the playoffs its a different story because of the extra money being brought in.

I think if he sits you could see this team go out there without a full lineup (as in no call up). that is embarrassing.

ive seen him on TV his english is fine. his problem is that he is as dumb as bag of pucks.

not understanding all the love for Newberry. He is a borderline 4th line grinder (which is probably why everyone loves him). He actually looked pretty lost in the defensive zone at times. He has an upside in that his game is really simple and hes willing to take a hit to make a play (like a 4th liner should), but we have PLENTY of those type of players in the lineup right now. We need someone with some*(even a little) bit of hands around the net.

He is not turning out to be a "heady" hockey player. It's like the coaches said shoot more. so he just shoots it from anywhere. He doesn't appear to read plays or the ice well. He's running short on time i think...once people start coming back from injuries. BYE BYE!!!

everytime we play on VS. we get new 2 new defensemen named Brad Lebda and Nick LiNdstrom. its weird

on a more positive note of the broadcasting i love that mickeys been criticizing the way offense has been setting up. saying that point shots dont work anymore and they need to work on getting open in the slot. -

last night ken daniels said "rafalski cant get it up" as in up the ice, and you could hear mickey laughing and then kens voice started cracking as he was calling the play by play. -

they are trying to reach the people who dont watch every game. its just something he has to do. like when he had to explain "commerical zones" and icing every 5 minutes lat year. -
he was looking pretty lost in our end (like literrally skating back and forth behind howard). led to sustained pressure on us during his few shifts. he was in the place at the right time on his goal.

not to change the subject. but that was a good no goal call last night. puck was covered and he was putting the whistle in his mouth. no goal.

we skate past the front of the net instead of looking for 2nd chances. we dont shoot from the slot. we get a 5 on 3 and we stand like statues and pass around the perimeter. we have problems.

Franzen was never supposed to be a grinder. He has always looked and played like a power forward with an obvious skill for scoring goals. Helm hasnt had this. The Red Wings organization i think has the ability to identify who should play where..... well except Lebda... -
