yeah, i figured as much for some folks in this thread (you included obviously).

for hockey, anaheim has some pretty lame fans... not only obnoxious, but plenty stupid to boot. two of my closest friends are eagles fans... one is pretty obnoxious (to the point that it's funny) bandwaggoner, the other has been a life-long fan (poor guy) that will probably never see the eagles win a superbowl in his lifetime.

if you've never been to the detroit area before, you might as well stop into hockeytown authentics just to say you've been there... but they charge some crazy prices up in that joint... pretty good selection though.

re-read my post. i didn't say that the mule was jinxed, but the shirt itself has been bad luck so far. btw... both goals were scored after the shirt was removed.

if it was obvious that kronwall left his skates on a hit, or if drapes obviously crosschecked someone in the face, and then a reporter were to ask them a direct question concerning those actions, and either kronwall and/or draper were to blatantly lie about said actions after the fact, then i would also say that kronwall and/or draper "didn't man up" for their actions. there's a difference between not telling the whole truth and outright lying. unfortunately for roberts, he chose to do the latter.

it would be interesting to see a pens fan's take on this possible move... say, what happend to all those over confident pens fans that were here a week ago?.. oh, yeah being down 2 games and not scoring one measily goal in the finals will surely make them folk disappear rather quickly... lol.

unfortunately roberts didn't man up to intentionally punching mule in the head... like another poster already mentioned, roberts claimed that he caught mule with his shoulder... well, if you look at the replay he did catch mule with his right shoulder, but then promptly punched him in the side of the face with his left hand... i guess roberts forgot to mention that.

qft... as a giants fan, i would know... it was a lameass attempt by the bucs back then, and still is a cheesedick move by mellon arena and the pens now... why do teams feel like they need to resort to this kinda crap?

although i'm a bit disappointed that it's only a 2-year extension, this is really, really great news... andersson's exceptional scouting is the biggest reason why the franchise has been able to stay competitive after all these years... great job re-signing him.

nor do people need to be paid in order to have biases. now i'm not saying that the nhl has some kinda hidden adgenda to screw the red wings over, but danno has been right smack in the middle of two of these piss-poor calls, both against the red wings, both against homer, in the last 4 playoff games. that certainly raises a few questions about his objectivity (paid or not).

eh, the guy doesn't really seem like a total red wing hater. to me, he's just a grit groupie who doesn't like what kenny has done with the team. the guy could very well pass as one of our very own "realists" here on lgw.
