only thing better woulda been the wings eliminating the ducks for themselves... oh well, i'll take it.

meh, that sounds like a bunch of crap to me. i don't really see any difference between the haters and the slappys. neither shows enough intelligence to be objective in their thinking so i just simply ignore their posts. just by being here on a regular basis, i think we all have a committed love for this team. people just have their own way of showing it. there's no right way or wrong way to be a fan. but, the quitters and fairweather fans are the ones who really bug me. win, lose, or draw, you should be committed to your team. but you don't necessarily always need to be happy with your team to be committed to it. again, there's no right way or wrong way to be a fan. simply put, there is no winning without losing. that's the nature of competition. obviously nobody likes to lose, but if you want to experience the sweet joy of victory you also need to be willing to taste the bitterness of defeat. edit: spelling

thank f-ing god!!!

nailed it perfectly. being too candid doesn't work for all situations. just ask manny how that worked out for him. fair or unfair, that's just how it is sometimes.

funny how babs still fails to recognize that sammy sucks at playing the point on the 2nd pp unit... oh well, baby steps i guess.

exactly. and that's why i was perfectly fine with starting dom in game 4. with a 1 game series lead at the time, we were afforded an opportunity to see if dom could work himself outta his funk, but now that we know what we know... no question oz starting game 5 is the right decision.

zero puck support in the offensive zone for, what, the last 4-5 minutes of the game... pathetic. and for the love of god, start osgood in game 5.
-
already tried it... no dice. what kinda bush-league s*** is this?... the nhl is a freakin joke.
-
what channel on center ice? i don't see it listed.

meh, if there ever was a good time to experiment with the lineup, it would be while we still have the lead in the series. maybe lebda's speed will help prevent another quick back-to-back nashville goal.
-
turco let in 3 consecutive shots... the stars didn't have a chance in game 3.
-
gah! :puke: it's really not the loss that bothers me, cuz i still like our chances... it's those 3 quick back-to-back goals in two games... lay the blame wherever you want, but that s*** simply shouldn't be happening. :nonono:

plus, as of this moment game 1 at the ponda isn't sold out either.

we were 47 seconds away from debunking that myth. but they are the champs, and i'm looking forward to knocking them out of the playoffs this year.

i don't see really see how i can make my point without contradicting myself to a certain extent, but i'm not the one who's constantly labeling anyone who has an opinion that isn't completely unbiased or objective as being a "homer". after all, since the majority of us are red wing fans i would expect some amount of bias in all of us. and never did i say that gs&t wasn't entitled to his opinion just because we happen to disagree. my point was that the whole homer police schick is getting old, and maybe, just maybe, he should "take it down a notch" with that line of thinking. he, by his own admission, knows that his zealousness to that regard can be overboard. as for the topic of flaming, i'm not the one who started in with "ahhhh, more wit and wisdom from my esteemed colleague. where's the other half of that brain of yours...you know, nick. i didn't think you guys could formulate thoughts without giving each other a rub and a tug" or "sheep are like that. here, let me pull a quarter from behind your ear and dazzle that wicked brain of yours". i may have partook after the fact, but who really started flaming who here? if you happen to agree with his perspective, that's your prerogative. but don't look at what i've said in a vacuum just because you happen to agree with him. that said, i think we've derailed the thread quite enough. i'll leave it alone if everyone else does.
