How did this team even make it to the playoffs? Nevermind Howard not saving goals that he should be. But the rest of the team allowed the play to happen in the first place. Disgusting.

It's funny, because Holmstrom has been called for interference while clearly outside the blue paint anyway. Get better referees, NHL.

I find it really funny how mostly everyone here is defending the NHL like it is a crime to even think that there could be some bias. It has happened in sports before, people. Just because you don't think it is happening, doesn't mean it isn't. That isn't to say that it is happening, don't get me wrong.

Does anyone else think that luck plays a bigger part in most of these than skill? I mean, I understand that luck plays a role. But when you call something a "top save", it usually implies skill. I'm specifically referring to the saves where the goalie didn't catch the puck (even though those can simply be luck as well) and instead, it happens to hit their stick... And don't even get me started on #6.

Looks like Detroit has their losing game plan pretty much figured out. It's something along the lines of "Don't shoot at the net with only a few minutes/seconds left in the 3rd when down by one."

My friend and I have this thing we do when Detroit gets a big lead. Today, it was. "Detroit is leading 4:0. It's anyones game." Ahhh, vintage Detroit hockey.

I obviously wasn't clear enough. The team isn't winning right now. This proven, high caliber goalie isn't winning games for Detroit. So Holland should throw Howard overboard because he might not perform better than a three-time Cup winning goalie? You're just being silly. Hockey is a team sport.
