"You can't sneak a piece of cheese by a rat." --Rod Allen I like Rod a lot--his silly catch phrases, his insightful commentary, the way he dwells a bit much on the physical makeup of players (He. is. a. specimen. mmm hmm. ) He's great. If you don't like him, be thankful you don't have to put up with Hawk Harrelson. D-Train was great (hope his hand was ok), JV is back to his dominant self, and there are a lot of other things to feel great about. Tigers are playing their best baseball of the season so far and look to be in first place at the 40-game mark, which is the unofficial benchmark of when you know if your team is legit or not. Getzlaf. This isn't a series without him. In the two games he was sick (or whatever was going on) the Ducks weren't close. I understand he's unpopular here, but Getzlaf is a hell of a player.

For sure. He obviously doesn't have the talent of Yzerman, but he has the heart and will to win and brings it every night.

I'm still surprised Babcock sat Malts in favor of Abdelkader. Yes, Abdelkader's got a regular spot on the 4th line in the future and is a valuable reserve now, but I thought Malts had an effective series and would have been a valuable presence in the lineup in a game 7.
