real? it's not a hockey alliance member site. edit: but it's equally hilarious

"I muted Randy and Drew and put the Benny Hill theme song on. So hilariously fitting." "I'm so pissed. Apparently someone misplaced the magic switch you're supposed to flip when the playoffs come around. EPIC FAIL!" "Look at the bright side. The Sharks won't be eliminated in the second round this year." Edit: "Maybe i should just move to Detroit. This is just pitiful."

Thank god we don't have the cap space to even consider it

indeed. the ducks really worked hard to give this game away by taking idiot penalties.
-
me too. and I'm 3 hours behind you at this point.
-
seriously. about 7 of them.
-
It's not ironic at all. Good beer markets itself.
-
It took them 7 in the first round last year...
-
Seriously, do people really fear the Sharks more than the Ducks in the playoffs?
-
The Ducks are starting to grab momentum here, and the noose is tightening around the Sharks' necks...
-
Seriously. Never, ever say these words. The Ducks announcers are complaining nonstop about calls. If I could get Brian Hayward and Drew Remenda in surround sound, the persecution complex would be hilarious.

Exciting finish! I'm surprised as hell the Rags are up 2-0 here. But I agree with NRS that the Caps are still winning this series.

When your goalie's helmet says 'Hershey Bears', you're in trouble.

WCQF GAME 1 GDT: Blue Jackets 1 at Red Wings 4
Third Man In replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Finally! This series is simple: if the Wings play hard, they will win. Columbus has a great young goalie and enough talent and grit up front to make it interesting. But if the Wings outwork them, and if Homer, Mule, and Cleary are doing their thing in front of Mason, they will win. Let's Go Red Wings!  :octo: *splat* :octo: *splat* -
It's early, but I really like what I'm seeing so far. The starting pitching has been great overall, the offence is showing an ability to manufacture runs rather than just slugging away, and the bullpen (especially Seay and Rodney) is so far outperforming expectations. *If* we can get a healthy Bonderman and Zumaya, and if JV finds his game, I like our chances. I was impressed with Josh Anderson--he battled for a walk on a 10-pitch at bat, stole second, and scored the first run in what was a tight game, and he also bunted for a base hit. His speed was something last year's team lacked, and he gives the team another lefthanded bat. If he plays like yesterday he'll take the leftfield spot from Thames (as much as I like the guy), and the Tigers will be a better team for it.
