They're usually very fair about calling the game as they see it, and I like them a lot--but it seems like they have been complaining about the officiating more this year.
-
Way to capitalize on a failed clear!
-
Why is it we always start slow the first 10 min against these guys? We usually pick it up later, but I wish we'd start stronger.
-
Nice kill! Tentative start to this one
-
That will make this game more interesting...
-
The online version? Mine's working fine.
-
I was at that game! Most exciting game I've had the pleasure of attending.
-
Mr. Kronwall, your mission, should you choose to accept it:
-
Crap, the Wings have only been putting 3 people on the ice for their powerplays?!? Imagine what they could do with 5...
-
That is suspicious. You must have stolen our team. GIVE US OUR TEAM BACK! Sneaky Duck Guy...
-
What makes you think the Wild will be tired after tonight?
-
Crap, NHL GameCenter died. Just when the game was getting good.
-
You can single out whomever you like, but if you give up 4 goals in 2 periods and your entire offence consists of Kopecky, I'd say that's a pretty terrible team effort.
-
Remember there's that whole 'intent to blow the whistle' caveat. I know it works if the ref didn't blow the whistle yet but intended to, but maybe it works if he inadvertently blows the whistle before a goal? Either way, the Wings didn't have possession so whistle shouldn't have gone, so the goal should count.

That made me laugh Duck Guy. Even if the Ducks miss the playoffs it won't be a complete teardown--too many good players to be down for long.
-
That's the way you kill a penalty boys!
-
Can he? Yes. Should he? Depends on the situation, but in this case I say yes. If you leave your feet you take yourself out of the play, but since Drapes was missing his stick he would have 1.) forced Getzlaf to shoot high or 2.) forced Getzlaf to delay, maybe giving someone else a chance to disrupt his shot. But no guarantees that going down would prevent a goal--either way, you still have a dangerous player with the puck in a good shooting position.

He's still a good defencemen, but he also isn't the player he was with Edmonton or his first year with Anaheim. It's not surprising the Ducks are thinking of moving him if they're still on the outside looking in for the playoffs in a couple weeks. He's on the downside of his career but still attractive to other teams as a veteran D-man. He may even have lost a step in bitchness, too He's seemed tamer this year.

As long as Hossa's gonna keep scoring on his own line, I love to see Hank and Dats together. I know all the arguments about why in theory it's better to split them up, but the Wings are just a better team all-around when they play together.
-
No thanks. Don't want any of the Wolverines taint here
-
How was that lucky? Looked like a well-executed tip play to me...
-
Datsyuk, Homer, and Downey showed up. Most of the rest of the team took the night off. Simple as that.
-
I agree that the Lidstrom goal shoulda counted. But the Wings coming out flat and falling behind 4-0 had a lot more to do with why they lost the game than that call.
-
that's clearly a penalty on Homer

Let's Go Red Wings!
