Burke already said Niedermayer has to make up his mind quickly this time and that he can't drag it out again. My guess is that this is Scotty's last game, barring a miracle.
-
lol this thread got blood thirsty rather quickly
-
I actually like Giggy a lot. He's no villian, he's just a great goalie. He's no Pronger or Perry for sure.
-
I dunno. I got a lot more satisfaction when Getzlaf got smashed into the boards. Two minutes well spent by Lundqvist IMO
-
That was absolutely brutal coverage on Perry's part. He neither kept Barnes from walking in nor prevented the pass.
-
lol that was fast. Ducks imploding.
-
Robidas gets some revenge for the puck in the face last game!
-
Stupid penalty. Here's a chance for Dallas to get going.
-
No kidding. Everyone is always waiting for the Wings to implode (even after all the talk of parity the rest of the year and how little difference there is between seeds 1 through 8 etc. etc.). But Minny's out already and SJ and the Habs are going to 7. I think the mantle's been officially passed.
-
I know it's beating a dead horse, but what's Ron Wilson doing out there? He needs to pull Nabby much sooner. He seems to have forgot that they needed 2 goals there, not one. Dallas looks absolutely listless out there. I was expecting a lot more intensity with a chance to knock off Anaheim at home, and that Giggy was going to have to steal another game for Anaheim to push this to 7,
-
True. But I am absolutely ecstatic that the Wings won't have to go through Anaheim and SJ again this year. And I'm happy to see SJ go 7 games.
-
Can you open the stream directly in WMP or VLC? I got it to work before I posted it. mms://a1729.l2168647534.c21686.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/1729/21686/v0001/reflector:54953

clicky clicky

I understand your reasons for wanting the Sharks to win the series--but Calgary can at least do the Wings a favor and push it to 7!
-
Perhaps. It certainly shouldn't be a lack of heart. Hey, at least Pisani was sick and had an excuse lol Well, this is headed for a game 7. The way both teams have protected leads this series, this one's over

Mihalek: fail SJ announcers: "What is he doing?"
-
Kipper's looked very solid here when he's needed to. What's with Grier, though? He hasn't been nearly the player he was in last year's playoffs.

Exaggerate much? Hartigan: 102GP 19G 11A 30PTS -13+/- 58PIM Helm: 7GP 0G 0A 0PTS -2+/- 2PIM Not stellar numbers on Hartigan's part, but he averages a point almost every three games--not terrible for a role player. I mention Helm along with Hartigan because they occupy the same lineup spot. You must have misread my post, or perhaps I wasn't clear. My logic was that "it's absolutely unreasonable to expect someone who's played a handful of NHL games to bring that every day in the playoffs." Helm has played 7 games in his career. McCarty has player 745. I think Sammy and McCarty play over Helm, but I basically agree with your post. You have an absolute point here. Helm provided a spark, and he could continue to do so. But you also cannot discount youthful inexperience. Look, I don't disagree that Sammy hasn't been disappointing the past couple seasons. But he's also got a lot of NHL experience and gets dumped on here more than he deserves. I also think that Helm's got a heck of a lot of potential and could also be a valuable player this playoffs if the Wings have some injuries to their forwards. And perhaps he should play over Hartigan. But I think that when Malts comes back it makes no sense to bench a player who played every day during the year in favor of a guy with 7 games of NHL experience.
-
Thanks for posting that Doggy. I posted the Justin TV link because Viperar wanted a Windows Media Player link. If anyone is in Canada, btw, CBC is streaming the game. The Sharks were lucky not to get blown out of the rink in that first period there.
-
Nolan strikes again! The Flames needed a goal after all that pressure.
-
Nothing good this time Only a Justin TV link Anyone else?
-
lol Look, Helm had a great game today. But it's absolutely unreasonable to expect someone who's played a handful of NHL games to bring that every day in the playoffs. Helm is absolutely the future, but he's not the present. Malts takes Helm's/Hartigan's spot when he returns. But Sammy plays and he'll have better days in the future.
-
C'mon, Doggy. Nobody's satisfied with just getting past the first round. But I think everyone--Babcock included--can enjoy for today getting through to the second!

Broken nose for Tootoo to heal on the golf course. I bet he's a hack there as well. Bad luck, indeed.
